► Im launching a new series: Wooden Weaponry's woodworking tips!
► Episodes of this series won't be uploaded an a regular base like my other videos. I will upload a new one whenever I find a new woodworking tip that appears share-worthy to me.
► Regarding this tip: The height of the tip of the pencil ( + the wood you lay under it ) should be similar to the radius of the dowel. The smaller the difference is, the smaller the circle will be.
► Let me know what you think of this series in the comments below!
► You can of course suggest new ideas for this series! :)

Great!!!! Thank you. I wasted so much time drawing lines across the diameter and I never did find the true center.

Really helpful, thank you. A suggestion and I am not criticizing or complaining because this was very helpful, the first part of the video was very dark. You might consider editing that out and skipping to where you clamp the pencil down. That is where the video is bright enough to see the pencil marks. Thanks again!

Use a square and tie a string going 45 degrees to a nail on a board to the intersect of the square. Take a market and soak the string in ink. Then just tap the dowel down into the corner turn then tap again. X Mark's the center spot. EZ PZ

I found the center of my wooden curtain rods so much more efficiently than my husband did! Genius! I'm curious if the size of the wood that it rests on needs to be increased based on the diameter of the dowel/rod?

Wooden Weaponry Das geht eigentlich gut.

But doesn't the height of the pencil and whatever it is resting on have to be exactly half the height of the round object you are marking?
