I want to write children’s books because I want to contribute to the magic that is children’s literature. My nine year old grandson and I have read hundreds of books together and there is nothing more magical than those moments when the world stops and a book pulls you in. Many of our best memories include our favorite books! Many of our awesome memories are the stories we tell each other. Recently his stories all seem to include dragons and crystals. Smile! Mine are a little more varied, hopefully entertaining, and maybe with a bit of a lesson. I want to write children’s books because I have exciting, fun, adventurous, stories in my heart and in my head waiting to be shared with others.

I want to help children who have been affected by racism. I was severely affected by racism growing up I felt so alone there were zero books on the subject.
