How to Find your Color Season: Bright, True & Light SPRING Color Analysis

Do you have those garments in your #wardrobe that look amazing on the hanger but as soon as you put them on there’s something that just doesn’t work? A lot of people have this problem and it’s no surprise because we all have a different skin tones and features, so consequently not every #color is going flatter every person the same.
Knowing your #colorseason will not only help you find the most flattering #colors for your wardrobe, makeup and accessories, but will also save you time, money and the headache of useless purchases that just end up collecting dust in your closet.
Seasonal #color analysis is a tool designed to help us figure out the colors that are synergy with our natural eye, hair and skin color and wearing these #colors is thought to make our skin look brighter, our eyes clearer and our smiles whiter.
To describe the different groups according to skin type we divide the coloring into four different #seasons. Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer. So which one are you and most importantly what are your best #colors?

I was a very long time thinking that I was autumn, because my skin is warm, but I didn’t realize that my primary aspect is bright. My skin is very light, my eyes are brown and my hair is brown as well. I don’t know the reason, but the most exemples in internet of bright spring has blue or green eyes.

I just had my color analysis done. I have the same features as you.. warm undertone but light skin, brown eyes and brown hair. I’m Spring season (paintbox). I was told this combo is actually quite rare.

At first I thought I was a Deep/Bright Winter, as my features are the stereotypical "Snow White look" 😅 later I dyed my hair cyan and it looked really good on me! But as time passed I noticed cool grays were such a disgrace for my face lol And I always received compliments using "wrong colors" like peach tones... Now I'm almost sure I really am a Bright Spring, and I was rocking cyan hair for being highly saturated, not for being cold! ✨💖

This was super helpful!! I think I finally have the answer: I’m a Bright Spring! My skin is very fair, I can wear both gold and silver jewellery, my eyes are close to what you call Topaz, and my hair has natural auburn and golden highlights. I also find my best colours are jewel tones and pinks/purples 😊

Thank you for these videos breaking down the colour seasons! I have been confused about my colour season as i haven’t really been able to pinpoint my undertone. It’s neutral, but I think it’s leaning slightly to the warmer side as I look better in a warm cream than a light grey and the like. Therefore I have been unsure whether I am a light summer or a light spring, but from watching your videos on summer and spring I think it’s pretty clear that I am a light spring. Now it makes a lot more sense why my mother (she’s an autumn) was so amazed that I looked good in light and muted colours and why she always tried to get me to wear more of them as a teen when I only wanted to wear dark colours. As I’ve grown up I’ve gravitated more towards the lighter colours. I guess she knew best after all.

I am sure now that I am both a bright winter and a bright spring. I can get away with both colour palettes and I love both. My comfort zone was always winter, but I have come to discover that bright spring suits me just as great. I am always mixing foundations and blushes to find my perfect shade.

This is so helpful. I always thought I was a soft summer because I’m a darker blonde and have very light skin . Soft summer colors look awful on me so I’ve been really confused. My hair is actually strawberry blonde though and my eyes are the bright blue in the first example of pictures. They’re teal looking depending on what Im wearing. My skin is pale but it has a lot of brightness to it. I think I am a bright spring- and those jewel tone colors definitely loook better on me than the dusty pastels of soft summer.

The blue eye color is my exact eye color. My natural hair color is 7A. During winter it kind of looks like Amy Adams gaur color. Summer is lots of highlights

Thank you so much for discussing primary and secondary characteristics! Mine are Light, Bright and Warm, in that order. I was determined to be a sort of combination of Light and Bright Spring, but I wanted to narrow it down more and you helped me do that. I’m pretty sure I am a Light Spring, since Light Spring is also bright. You really helped me understand why I look good in some muted corals, pinks, oranges and light olive. I thought mutedness was just a Summer trait, but slightly muted works well for me, especially if it’s combined with clear, light colors in an outfit. All the coral pinks and oranges, light pumpkin, maybe with muted brick and rust in a pattern, bring out all the shades in my strawberry hair. I usually wear clearer colors, but it can work to add softness, with a cardigan, pants, or anything that isn’t closest to my face. Now I can stop wondering if I’m really a Soft Autumn. You have a very detailed knowledge and are so good at teaching color theory! Some pros are great at analyzing people, but I have no idea what they’re talking about! Lol 😂

I think I may actually be a light spring! I've been wondering this for ages! (I had originally been thinking I was a soft autumn...but now it really looks like light spring. I'm still unsure about the coolness or warmth in my skin (I'm not sure of the vein color!).

Years ago in high school when I first went to a hairdresser to get highlights on my mousy brown hair. No, he said you don’t have brown hair, you have very dark blond hair, which as he said it turns out adding blond to mousy ‘brown’ hair is much easier than if I actually had brown hair. So if your natural hair can be described as ‘mousy brown’ it could indeed be a very dark blond. And I’m a spring.

The more I learn the more confuse I get. I was confident I was in the Summer spectrum, but now I’m second guessing. I definitely have a soft sunburst in my iris, and people often struggle to determine my eye color. My hair is not as vibrant gold as springs nor as ashy (muted per say) as summers 🤷🏼‍♀️. And I can’t quite point out if I have warm or cold undertone. (So my guess with that is that I’m not a true of either…) UPDATE: I got my colors done (professionally) and I’m a Soft Autumn. Which in a way explains why it was so hard to determine for “newbie” as Soft Autumn primary characteristic is not the temperature.

I am exactly the same, from a distance and in different lights my eyes look gray, blue and green. But I know they are blue with the sunburst. My hair is a dark ashy blonde. I have some yellow tones but also that seems to change in cirtain lights. So confused, either a summer or a spring but not a true one

You definitely need to pinpoint your undertone first. Summer is cool and Spring is warm. Both have a very similar color palette though. I also have a sunburst, and my eyes can range from green to gray to blue- my eyes look different every day. But I'm a winter, with cool neutral undertones.

When I learn I was a Soft Autumn it was a bit of a dummer as I don’t really love those colors and my favorites were “out of my range”. However keep in mind there is a general palette for each season but there’s also the *corporative* palette for each, that has, in my case, the blues I was looking for and more… “classy” colors, if you know what I mean.

Hello🙋‍♀️ new subscriber here 💕. This is my new favorite channel in KZfaq ❤️....love how straight to the point and informative your videos are. Idk if I just have a complicated skin tone or what but I am stuck between fall and spring. My natural eye color is a dark brown and my natural hair color is darkest brown but right now I have dark blondish highlights and I have a light medium skin tone . My perfect foundation color that does not change color on me and suits me like a glove in 2n2 buff from Estee lauder.

i think i’m a light spring! here are my features if anyone can confirm: golden blonde hair with light blonde highlights when exposed to sun, warm skin that tans and freckles in the summer to a bronze color, green eyes. i think i look best in muted colors (green and pink, mostly). my only problem is how dark my skin gets in the sun, past any of the shades usually shown for light springs.

Hi, I have been waiting for this! I’m pretty sure I’m a bright spring✨💓🌷 I have dark brown eyes, dark brown hair with golden highlights in the summer, my skin tone is fair/light with neutral-warm undertones and I can pull off gold or silver jewelry but gold definitely looks better! As for clothing, I have noticed that royal blue, bright blue, warm orange, black, bright white and bubble gum pink/purplish pink look best on me! Can you confirm?

Sounds right to me, bright springs handle bright colors better than any other season. They’re also “chameleons” in the sense that they can wear some bright winter colors such as black or royal blue

That sounds like winter to me as they are the ONLY season who looks good in bright white. The majority of the other colors you mentioned are jewel tones...and that doesn't suit any spring.

This is actually a really good video on the Summers. I was diagnosed a Summer many many years ago (actually thirty years ago I was a colour consultant, but what always threw me was the fact that I was kind of a mixture of Summer and Winter in the colours), but my question is that there are some Winter colours that are a bit stronger that look great on me, especially in the fuchsia/pink and neon pink range. I also look good in black garments although I shouldn't be able to wear black. Are there sometimes cross-types?

In the 16-season typing there are cross-categories for people who lie in between: you would probably be Cool Summer/Cool Winter (not the same as “true” types) that combine the two palettes with the emphasis on the coolness that is mutual for both summer and winter

I’m a house of colour blue spring, always thought I was an autumn before I was draped. My eyes are olive green, teal around the edge, and have a golden sunburst around the pupil. I have dark blonde/light brown hair. Fair skin that tans easily and freckles. I don’t 100% love the house of colour system and don’t know where I would sit in the 12 season colour system. I’m apparently a spring that suits all the blues in the palette the best, which means I sit next to winter... but I don’t think that makes me a bright spring because the brightest hoc spring subseason is paintbox spring, which is purely spring and doesn’t lean into the other seasons! I wish I had been analysed with a different system

@@sciencenotstigma9534 House of Colour analysts sort you into your main season (spring, summer, autumn, or winter) using drapes in each colour palette, and then from the drapes of your season (in my case, spring) they decide which of the 4 subseasons you fit best (for springs that’s blue spring, paintbox spring, golden spring, or pastel spring) and that’s determined by which drapes suit you best. Blue springs suit the coolest spring colours, paintbox springs suit the brightest ones, golden springs suit the warmest ones, and pastel springs suit the lightest ones.

I thought I was a true Autumn, but I do believe it now that I’m a bright spring. I look best in bright colors, muted colors, do nothing for me, and I have a very warm tone. But at the same time, I’m surprised that pinks are recommended for bright spring, because pinks do nothing for (orange looks so much better) 🤔. Also, my eyes are brown, and hair is dark brown.

IVe always thought I’m a summer. Then got into analysis and light summer it is. Then I realised corals look amazing on me and silver is horrible. Posted some drape photos and everyone said spring I’m so surprised! I’m pale with yellow overtone, light blue eyes that are actually very silvery and light, ashy blonde hair (8.10) and ashy eyebrows. But cool tones make me look so washed out!

I went to a color analyst in person this week and after a thorough examination she termed me as a light spring. The part that confuses me with all the online content of light spring is that most are deemed as blonde with light eyes but I'm a medium brunette with medium brown eyes. I get so confused because I seem to be in the middle with everything, but I think I’m a bright spring? i'm a but confused due to my eye colour, i have dark blue/green/hazel eyes, I have golden french skin and I don't suit any red/orange colours but i know i suit blue colours a lot, i looked at your complete 12 colour seasons video but I think i'm still confused. is there any obvious ways to tell other then just looking at myself cause i don't know if i'm seeing things correctly or not. when i looked at the 12 colour video i put myself as warm, light and clear but i was unsure due to eye colour. i'm just a bit confused. i thought i was a light spring but now i wonder if im a true spring instead due to my eyes being darker.

I'm not sure about myself. My eyes definitely fit into the bright spring category but royal blue, or hotpink is definitely not my colour and silver makes me look sick. I have dirty blonde hair with golden highlights in the summer, and I am light pale with noticable blush and i get tan easily. Which season suits me best?

Black doesn't look good with light spring. Only winters can really wear black well - some exceptions if you're a POC or have darker skin tone. Try to search/ Google for the light spring palette. I use the one by "dream wardrobe".

@bet - your main season (the 4 seasons) will not change. However, with age you can change subseasons: from a "true" season to a more muted/ soft version (example true autumn to soft autumn, true spring to light spring). That's accdg to another analyst.

All my online analysis give me dark winter but i never thought im cool undertone silver jewerly look good but gold look better then with dark autumn brown lipsticks drain me i cannot do the brown lipstick trend or any nudes unless those nudes got some Pink or orange or even Purple in em(i know Purple is cool but i still look better than in a full brown lipstick) and then there was a woman on TikTok who’s an expert on this topic and said that bright Springs can only have natural Dark hair(bright mean high contrasts). I’m having a hard time figuring out if I am bright or a true spring. I believe I am true because I have a visible yellow undertone. My skin naturally glows in the sunlight. But I have dark brown hair and eyes.

If you're a POC, you can be a spring or summer even if w/ dark hair. Try to watch the draping vids of Xixiplease (spring), ASMR Twix (summer), Jannat Ara (DA) and Hyeri Vlog (winter).

I have light blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair so you would think I'm light spring but no. Pastels make me look washed out. I need vibrant colors and they do they make me glow. I watched a video by a color analyst who is definitely warm, but also very light. She is a Spring with blue-appearing veins. I think vein color is only changed if there is enough pigment in the skin. I am the same way. My eyes and an olive green and gold. I have red hair with golden blonde on the outside layer (where it gets sun), and was determined to be Light Spring, with Bright as my second characteristic and warm-neutral skin. I have a pinkish blush, but my skin is practically transparent, so it doesn’t have a strong hue to it. This is pretty common in very fair-skinned redheads.

@@concepthree. I know you didn’t ask me, but I can tan, with light sun protection, but I don’t get much darker than a warm peach, unless I spend a LOT of time outdoors. Then I might have some detectable tan. Do you think very light people, maybe, don’t have enough pigment to affect vein color?

i have avery cold skin, but brown warm eyes and hair, oval face, pear body-- so ... i am confused, i watched a lot of your videos i don't know. Red is usually ugly in me, yellow is ugly, green ugly, maybe blue is ok, brown is ok if its greyish. i wear black but i don't know. i think pinks are nice on me

I have super ash dark brown hair and blue/green/gray eye but im so tan going to the tan salon and using bronzer enhancers my skin might be cool not even warm so I decided to go w the bright winter pallette and so far gotten a lot of compliments on my face due to bright hues... sorry that still doesn't answer our original qustion.

I’m still confused 😭 I have dark brown eyes with medium to dark golden brown hair I know I’m warm toned and I think I’m light So does that mean that my primary is warm and secondary is light? That is not a spring category tho😭😭

We don't really know the correct season of celebrities, since they are usually wearing makeup, have dyed hair and lighting may affect their pics. We don't know if they've been color analyzed correctly (without makeup, hair covered). Vloggers use celeb pics to get the general "look" of the color season.

in this you verballysay that a true spring's primary aspect is warm and the secondary aspect is light. this is at 5:22 on your video. however you have written the exact opposite on the video. i'm sure this is an accidental error, but I think you need to fix it because it is quite confusing.🙂

Most people of colour have more contrast and are therefore usually more winter or autumn. Spring is more common in blonde people.

If you're a POC or Asian, you can be a spring or summer. Needs draping to confirm. Try to watch the draping vids of Xixiplease (spring) and ASMR Twix (summer), both dark haired women.
