How to Find Your DPS on Any Platform! (test) Mini Damage Board & Spell Timers! - Neverwinter 2024

Learning how to test ones damage can be extremely useful to figure out what you should be using, how and when! Here I cover how you can find your regardless of platform, but it is far far easier on PC with the combat logs and a parser! Here I also show how to setup a mini damage board overlay and spell timers for PC with the ACT software which can be really useful in certain content and just to see your performance!

I wouldn't call myself a high DPS, but I'm often slightly baked when I play Neverwinter. Does that count? I feel like it should count...

Great video. I would like to add a small detail tho. Since i know this from Star Trek Online, you can make it so the combatlog doesn't always produce a new file on each combat. When in the Neverwinter Launcher, click top right "Options" and the scroll down to the command line and enter "-NoAutoRotateLogs" (it's not case sensitive). Now, when you start the game and type "/combatlog 1", there will only be one file called "combatlog.log". In the Combat Tracker software you can then select this one file and swap between the different combat scenarios.

I maintain that anyone asking for HDPS or EXP is asking for a carry. I was kicked from a master dungeon once because we failed the first boss ONCE because I forgot the mechanics and i was on the wrong loadout. Literally 1 more attempt and we would have killed it but they just swore at me, called me a troll, and kicked me. They werent even asking for HDPS or EXP when they posted. This community is garbage. For the record, I have been playing PS4 since launch, and been through it all. I'm tired of being nerfed with every update just to be ignored by elitist assholes.

the worst thing is when you do good damage, but don’t have a standard build, I mean gear and weapons, people constantly ignore you because they judge you by your gear. for example, i used flaming weapons + ap boots on my wizard, and i got 1st place dps-leaderboard everytime in mdom when I started the group ( average completion time is about 24 min). but when someone starting group and looking for dps, they never let me in, because of my gear. The same problem with rogue ( i use stormforged blades for aoe (not lucky for getting perfect weapons)) and again, rarely who can beat me in dps, but everyone is ignoring. I decided to ban everyone who stupid enough that jugde dps in this way.But it was not always so. Just 2 years ago if you ignore people in your alliance without reason you can be kicked, but now it got much worse, and I blame the developers for this, who do not encourage difficult completeions with new players, but make them pointless

it is impossible to carry out the test on console, because we do not have the same artifact which makes all the debuffs

@Aragon, please, check for performance old artifact "The crystal of the soul's vision". I tried it, there is a suspicion that it does not work.

I wonder how could i check my DPS for dungeons and other stuff with "IL equalization" (or whatever its called)? Im now 63k IL and i can't really use training room because my IL can differr noticeably depending on the build i try so DPS is also changing just because of that. The only idea i have is to go to some easy skirmish thing, but the problem is that if i go with other players, it really depends on them because often times they just anihilate everyone so i cant do much damage. But if i go solo i just cant kill anyone because im too weak xd. lives hard!

Honestly, for most people just to be on the graph is a good start. Alone, your probably pretty good around 700k to 800k Dps

@@Aragon-its make no sense test dps with previe server mega arti, beter fo to live server and use 10% arti for 1 min combat on mini boss, you becouse end dps will jumo from hight to low zhight arter arti and mount, but it will become stable after it, becouse its no way you alone can do 700 stable end dps ( maybe with broken wizy and tr) oweral you need count dps out of artis call to understand you hdps or dps, becouse artis just for 10 sec boost, and after 20 sec numbers go down, so from 450 to 500 you can call you hdps,

in a trial, like half your total damage comes from within 10s. So to test it correctly, you need to have that burst window.
