Hello! Did you know that enclosed bias tape can be a great finish for a V neckline? It gives a very neat look, but there are some techniques to do it practically and achieve a beautiful result.
You can cut bias tape from the fabric itself or use ready-made satin bias tape; the important thing is that it should be a lighter fabric.
Fold it in half, iron it, and sew up to the angle.
To turn in the other direction, make a small triangle at the center front. I like to sew this triangle and trim it so it doesn't get bulky, but that's not mandatory.
Continue sewing to form the 'V'.
Clip the fabric, trim the seam allowance, and turn the bias tape to the wrong side.
Pin, baste, and topstitch.
All done! So, what do you think? Have you ever finished a neckline like this?
