Fitted mine today after watching your video. Had to find another clip to ahow how to renove glovebox, but your video made the installation to fuse box very simple. Thanks to guys like you making our lives that much easier. Cheers

Hi - appreciate the help and advice - cam now fitted and working, thanks. Would point out that the glove box has a soft close mech (an arm on the right out side that slides off to the right) that needs to be detached before the glove can be removed. Also had a mare getting the glove box back in - more due to my incompetence than anything else... But it all got sorted in the end. Thanks again! 🇬🇧

Big thanks for really informative video. I'm an old fart so never thought I could do this, hardest part getting the wire through the gap on body and dash. All done very pleased.

See if you plug it into a perm live fuse that would allow the camera’s motion detector to work.?

Interesting video, and you make it look easy to hardwire the camera. I guess what makes it easier than soldering and so on is that hardwire kit from Amazon. Much tidier and a better connection type than the old 12v socket.

Hi . I just bought the hardwire kit for road angel halo pro . It has the red cable that you obviously show where to connect it , the gnd and also the yellow vcc cable for constant power supply. Where in the glove box can I connect the vcc for constant supply and how? Thanks.

Took me a while to get the glove box out! Are there any permanent live fuses in that box as I connected to the power socket but it seems to shut off after a few minutes of locking the car and I can't lock the car to check if I am in it with the key,. Cheers.

Hi, Any ideas on a quick permanent live fuse? My hardwire kit turns off when battery voltage drops past 11v so no issues with it draining fully, plus ability to record any damage to my car when parked. Cheers!

Great video! Thank you Which is better? Direct wiring or OBDII adapter? I bought the OBDII adapter to be use on my Nissan Ariya. Running the wire from my Garmin Dashcam Mini 2 to the OBDII port looks fairly straightforward.

Hi there, it’s a very good video, I’m trying to install the dash cam but my hardwire has three wires, one black heart, one yellow ACC and one red Battery, so not sure which one go the fuse port as per the video and where the other should go. Please help

Glove box on my 2017 model seems a bit different - with a strut on the right hand side which needed detaching first, which I don't see in the video, and the hinges at the bottom seem to need proper tools to disassemble (and a process which at this point is unknown to me) rather than just clipping on and off :( so it only rotates down just enough to give awkward access to the fuse box unless I spend a lot more time figuring out how the bottom is attached. On detaching mine I found a couple of items the previous owner must have lost down the back of it including randomly one of those hair net type things worn for hygiene in food processing.

Hi Dan, I pick up my 2015 1.6 DCI TEKNA this Friday (31/12/21) and have been studying your very informative videos. Re hard wiring the dashcam - I looked at the diagram for the 2015 Qashqai (Googled it) and the fuse you used in your video does not appear to be there, it is a more powerful fuse? I've sent away for the fitting kit and will only know once I actually go to fit my dashcam, but I wondered if I have the wrong diagram?

I know you have a reverse camera but can you please recommend a good after-market reverse camera kit for J11 model? I watch every video :)

hi I have bought hardwire but it got 2amp including in the box where your is 5amp which will be better please let me know thanks

Only thing I will add is you can remove the rear view mirror plastics and send the wire through that to make it tider, and can also remove the side panel on the dash and pull the a pillar trim out more to make it easier to feed the cable

followed this video and also bought the hardwire kit, but it keeps cutting out and restarting my dashcam. Is this because of voltage drop? how can I stop the power from cutting out ?

Watched the video for installing a dash cam but I am concerned that no reference is made to ensure that the connector that plugs in to the fuse box is fitted correctly. If it is plugged in the wrong way round he dash cam will be connected directly to the power and not be powered through the fuse.

So… Qashqai have 360 cameras all around the car, but you still want to use dashcam with one more camera just hanging right in the middle of front window?
