Full video of fitting a Inner Tube and Tyre onto a 8" trailer rim. All done by hand and in real time. Be careful with the inner tube if trying this yourself. Video is for guidance only.

Hats off to you for not speeding up the video where you were having a struggle with the tube. I think I’ll give it a go myself. Didn’t think you’d be able to get the tyre over the rim without a proper tyre iron. Well done!

Yes, I watched a video where the difficult part was skipped. Most of these jobs are easier than they look. Well worth having a go yourself.

this is great for me. I have a 4.80-8 5-Bolt Trailer Tire but the replacement rim will not fit over the existing hub. this saves me from replacing both hubs, rims and tires. to ensure they match

Why didn't you install the inner tube from the back side if the tire instead of struggling with mashing it through the small opening?

soak the tire and inner tube in super hot water first. makes all the rubber lose.

I just cannot for the life of me get my tyre off the rim, have broken the bead and can get levers in but its insanely tight

Next time try spraying warm soapy water to make the Inner Tube slide in against the rubber tire, it will go in a lot easier, auto factories use this solution except machines apply the solution.

Was this a tubeless tire that you retrofitted with an inner tube? I’m regretting this project already…..

Yes, because a previous owner had elongated the valve holes so a standard tubeless valve wouldn't fit.

@@limawhiskey7842 how do you figure out the tube size ? for example my tire is rotted, its 21 x7 x 10 , i need a tube but what size?

@@stephenkasee650 Google 21x7x10 tube and you'll get various results depending on your country. For the UK I get a couple of websites plus Amazon.co.uk. Good luck.

Hi just a quick question as I’m at a loss, I’ve replaced the abs sensor and hub on the mk6, did you have to clear the codes or did they go off after a drive ?

After I'd changed the Hub and abs sensor the ABS light went off. The code is probably still stored on the ECU but the main thing is the light is off and the ABS works. I did clear my codes. The fault I had was wheel speed sensor but of course that was due to the ABS ring on the Hub being non existent. Is your light off now?
