How to fit freezer drawer fronts.

Hi everyone, I have a Hotpoint Iced Diamond RFAA52P, & have just replaced the front flap on the "Fast Freeze" draw!! It was a little tricky - however by gently sliding a non-sharp knife (a credit or store card isn't strong enough with this model) at the bottom edge on the underneath part of the front flap, working "gently" across from left to right whilst slightly levering (where the two parts, draw & front flap "slot into" each other), it will gradually lift out. Don't bother with the side edges, as they won't budge until you've released the bottom edge first. Good luck to anyone who'll be trying this out. :-) (Great video, by the way!!!)

I have just done this, but when you get to fixing the new front, it is far easier to fit the top first, then the sides and finally the bottom snaps into place easily! 😀

Hotpoint RFAA52 freezer drawer has a different design but same principle. There are three notches across the bottom of the drawer front which clip into three corresponding grooves on the drawer. Warm the plastic with warm water beore trying so it doesn't crack. I just used a flat table knife to get between the notch on the drawer front and the groove on the drawer itself to release each notch in turn going from one side to the other. After the third notch was released the whole front come away.

Hi would this work for the hotpoint Quattro ffu4d sb drawer. This video is brilliant by the way. Something spilled in the food centre tray of my fridge freezer, it looks gross and is driving me mad. Thanks for sharing. Stella

Hi, the drawers on your appliance are not available in separate parts so if you do damage them trying to part them you will need to replace the complete drawer. You could try pouring hot water from a kettle to try and dissolve any spills.

eSpares OK thanks. Ive tried the boiling water bit....to no avail ☹. I'm going to try it anyway keeping it like that is not an option, it's actually gone green in some areas..can't believe I didn't notice it till it got so bad. Hopefully I should be able to get a spare if I break it....that should learn me!!! 😭😭😭😢. Thanks again, Stella

Hello, I don't suppose you have any instructions on how to replace Hotpoint Iced Diamond freezer drawer fronts? its not the same as these and rather difficult to remove, even with a knife or card.

Sorry, this is the only video we have but it was on a Hotpoint drawer so should be similar.

I don't know how these manufacturers get away with such a ridiculous design, my 75 year old mother struggled and gave up. Getting the bottom ones out was fine but the ones at side and a little thin flat on at the top of each side is ridiculous.
