How to Fit Together and Fuse Shut Hollow Silver Beads made with ~Queen Puabi~ Die Formers. It is essential when making hollow silver or gold beads that you have a small hole as an air escape. Trapped air can explode when heated so hollow forms always need that air escape. I will demonstrate how to safely and easily make the hole and fuse the two silver halves together. This process for making silver or gold hollow beads is the same whether goldsmithing or silversmithing.

Hi! I finally have a couple beads completed! Now, I need to attach an earring wire. Do you solder these on? I can’t figure out how one would fuse this final piece?? Thank you in advance!

Hi! You would definitely solder on any earwires, jumprings etc. You fuse the beads together, granulate if desired, then solder on any components. :)

Is it possible to hold the two halves together and use a flex shaft burr to make both holes at once? Thanks.

Hi Linda I would think that the two halves would shift in your hand while trying to use a burr but I haven't tried that method. Try it out and let me know how it goes! :)
