You did the right thing salvaging from another shifter you already had, but Shimano isn't going to warranty the part since you took it apart. You can however order the new part from your local bike shop if they are a Shimano Dealer. It will be expensive and it will take a long time to get it. I broke my 9150 rear derailleur cage and took it to a bike shop they told me they could order the part, which they did but it took 4 months to get it. They had a new derailleur and I couldn't be down without a bike for a long time so I bought the new derailleur. When I say expensive, that half of the cage, which is carbon, cost me $140. The new derailleur was over $600. But I needed it. Now I have two. I kind of think I should try finding bargain 9150 levers and a front derailleur so I have them at the ready because I don't want to be in a position to replace the entire group as expensive as they are these days. I have no need for 12 speed either. I like the 11 speed.
