Cheers mate! I'm not sure how the jayco system is setup but basically most caravans have a PLV(pressure limiting valve) with a built in check valve at the mains connection to protect the fixtures in the van from high pressures produced by some mains. They are basicaly just a valve that's spring loaded that the mains pressure has to push open to flow through in turn reducing pressure down stream. The built in check valve stops water flowing from ur system back through the valve and to the main. AVG make decent valves never had any issues with them. Are you having issues with ur jayco system? Or just heard there not good? The valves can get debree stuck in them which will make them not work properly. You shouldn't really have water coming up ur drain if it's pumped correctly but you can just buy a Pvc swing check valve and cut it into ur shower waste pipe to stop any back flow from the rest of the system 👌 Hopefully that makes sense! 😂 Cheers mate 👍

Thanks mate, You absolutely can or any other accessible cold line for that matter. What you'll need is 1 x 12mm JG tee 1 x 12mm JG x 15mm bsp lugged elbow 4 x JG locking clips (the red backing clips) 1 x 15mm hose tap 12mm JG pipe And a few pipe clips Hope this helps 👌

We are a bit skeptic Drinking from the tanks, if so do you recommend a treatment for the tank, or is best to get new tanks, I think they are original tanks, 2005 model

@@newport5504 no dramas at all! 👌 Yeah we drink from the tanks but iv installed a filtered tap on the sink so we filter through that and we also use a hose filter when filling the tanks. Every few months I run "tank clean" through the system to clean them out, and we try to avoid filling any dodgy water into them if we can when we are remote ect. 👌 But yeah they should be fine to drink from! If they havnt had a clean in a while I'd definitely fill them with a water tank cleaner and flush them right out! Cheers mate 🤙

You only need to use pipe inserts if you arnt able to cut the pipe straight and keep it round. 😊 If you are using a sharp stanly knife or proper pex cutters they arnt necessary 👍
