3 years later and you’re still saving lives lol thanks dude this just helped me out. In my case it was blinking red light and no charge. It wasn’t seated. You need to hear a pop when you snap that cable thing in.

I couldn’t unscrew it so I just ripped it off after I got a knife underneath the plastic part. It works great now tho. my game pad just looks a lil ghetto, but who cares as long as it works

A couple months ago this happened to me and I didn't know how to fix it until I watched this video I didn't even know about your channel at the time but now your one of my favorite KZfaqr/tiktoker

I just had my gamepad turn off in game (XCX) and your fix worked like a charm (so far anyway, I got the orange charging light to turn on). I had to find the tiniest little flathead, since none of my phillips were small enough.

For me, I'm forced to play it with the charger plugged in because the gamepad's battery instantly runs out in 4 seconds when it doesn't have the charger plugged in.

I’m so sad this did not work for me. For a split second it started charging, then the light went out. Going to have to buy a new battery and see if it works... kind of sad that lots of people have gone through this.

*Embarrassing Story* So I picked up my game pad to play Skylanders. The game pad was wet, my cat was staring at me, I sniffed the pad.... my cat peed on my gamepad and now it has water damage!!😂🤦‍♂️ There’s no way I’m taking it to get repaired because that would be gross for them to fix... If I buy a second hand game pad will that still work for my console? Or can I play without the gamepad and use the Wii controllers?

Wait, the light is supposed to glow green? None of the game pads I've used ever had a green light.

This worked for me. I did but the wii u refurbished from amazon. I haven't played in a couple months & it'd shut off & not charge. I did this & got an orange light as it's plugged in.

I've replaced the battery once or twice, but I think the problem now has been that the charging port is all jacked up so it won't charge. Wish it was easier/cheaper to get a replacement gamepad.

I was wondering if I should've actually kept it even tho it was broken because there were a few exclusives and games I still had and didn't want to waste money. I'm gonna try this, i don't really care if it breaks as it doesn't really affect me but I guess. ima try this because it would be nice to see it working again for a bit. ima edit after it try this. or reply.

DIdn't work at first, but after a second try, all I had to do was wiggle the charger a bit and it started working!

I tried changing the charger, the outlet, doing your method but nothing helps. It turned orange once and when I screwed the cover back on, it got back to black. Idk what to do anymore
