This helped a lot. A relative put gas oil mix in the tank by mistake, then after it died it sat for 5 years. So after cleaning everything last month, I had cleaned the carb already but engine was still not getting gas. So I pulled carb apart again after watching your video, and sure enough the main jet and emulsion tube were clogged. I missed those the first time. After reassembly the mower fired up on the first pull. I was a bit stunned by that lol. Thanks!

Martin, This is a great video! My Honda HRS216 PDA lawn mover bought in 1998 had been hard to start for years. It cost me $13.00 to fix, which I ordered online. The shipping costs actually cost more than the 3 gaskets I needed. This was the first time that I had done anything like this. I regret to inform you that I tried to get my gaskets from your website, but was unable to. After all, your video helped tremendously. I gave the information from my owner's manual to a person answering the phone, but she could not locate anything on this lawn mower model. I called a competing repair website to order the parts. They had no problem finding the model and correct parts. I am telling you this, because I thought you would like to know. Keep up the great work with these videos. I am a big fan!

I have done my repairs many times, you are spot on in your video! I told my friend who has a riding lawn mower that her husband needs to on a yearly basis change the oil and clean the carb out. She said OH he did/does this all the time (he is an Electronic person) and the very expensive John Deere engine burned up (NO OIL) sorry I just had to snicker, I also offered to do this for her/them but OH no thank you my husband........... Great video The Keihin carb on my Troy-Bilt TB130 quit running after mowing dusty dead grass. Blew air through all the ports and it's running great again. Thankfully didn't need to remove the jet or emulsion tube. I didn't know about the main port screw on top of the carb. Once I cleaned it our, all was good again. The mower repair place I used to pay usually had 6 months of mowers to fix by the end of march and won't take anymore after mid April and said most were due to dirty carbs. Glad there were no diaphragms on the new carb. Thanks again.

It's impressive that your video has over 1 mill, views! In addition, I like the pace of the instructional video, it was easy to follow. Like others have shared, carb. cleaner contains THM, Trihalomethanes, which are toxic. Gloves are recommended as well as eye protection.

I have a different question, that is, I have a snapper lawnmower with a Brigs and Stratton,it would not start so, I drain the tank clean the carburetor it still starts up and shut down it did that several times I then take the cylinder head off and clean the soot off this time it did not start did I messed it up by talking off the head.

Hi I'm having difficulty in removing emulsion tube. You say it just presses out, but in my case it seems solidly fixed. I assume you press it up the threaded tube after removing the main jet. Any ideas? Thanks
