We’ve been on quite a rollercoaster with our kitchen ever since we discovered a leak a few months ago, our wooden floor boards got completely ruined, first we had a permanently wet floor and then as Matt spent way more nights digging than we hoped for, we started having to turn the water mains on and off or we would have a lake in our kitchen (and a massive water bill which we are still wait for!). Finally we rolled our sleeves up, learnt how to make cement and covered what we’ve been calling the canyon! Thanniel got involved in covering it and Ella got too curious and started dipping her fingers in it when we weren’t looking! No one for harmed in the process.
A few weeks later and we still have, we are happy to say, a completely dry floor! Still a cement floor but a dry one! We have now found and purchased some floor boards which we are excited to replace hopefully very soon.
