In my experience, I find the o-rings are the simplest and most effective solution. Thank you for the tips.

I have been having this problem just recently. I got the o-rings hoping it would help. Not so much luck there. Now that I have seen this video i cant wait to bring my darts to work tomorrow where I have some PTFE tape in my tool box. This will make the darts feel so much better. Every now and again I can feel the "rattle" of the darts in my hand when they come loose and it is really annoying. Thanks for the idea!!!

Any thin material that will squeeze around the threads should work but I just showed a couple of examples, you could probably use paper too or a paper tissue. :)

As soon as I put some PTFE tape on I was so much happier. It was more loose than I thought so I had to wrap it a few times, it's such and improvement though! Can't wait to through a few darts later when my kids go to bed. =D Thanks for the good video and the idea!

Yeah I just done it quick in the video just to show an example but because its so thin you can wrap it around as much as you need to, but its so cheap to get the tape so it could last a very long time using it just for stems :)

Brilliant advice! This happened to me and I thought my darts were faulty and I'd have to buy a new set. Glad that's not the case, thanks dude.

What's the consensus on using the point of another dart in the crosshole and tightening it like that? I know they make dart tools specifically for that reason, but what if you're out somewhere and don't have one with you? I had an older wire coat hanger that I cut a short piece off of many years ago, back before they started using thinner gauge wire. Ok I derailed for a minute there, sorry... Personally, I'm against using another dart point, but I've seen other people do it, and I cringe every time I see it. I mean, it's probably not going to hurt it, but I'd just as soon not take a chance, because even though they're hardened, something could go wrong in the hardening process or even in the cooling process.

Non permanent lock tite works the best. Just a little dab will do it. Or a little dab of clear nail polish

@DartsReviewChannel
@DartsReviewChannel 5 жыл бұрын
you could try different stems or try a shell lock flight or a moulded flight like Cosmo, Clic, L-Style or you could put a dab of pritt stick on the flight in the stem

should the o metal ring go in the middle or end of shaft
@DartsReviewChannel

The O-ring is rubber not metal, it goes over the threaded section of the stem.

Personally I find a tiny dab of grease (Kevlar bike grease) on the end of the thread on the stem works well. And protects the threads from wearing out on your darts etc. I'm talking like a 3rd of a grain of rice size blob.
