How To Fix A ROMAN Blind

My Roman blind has broken. All the little tabs on the back have snapped.
Joint me as I fix and repair the blind, it was very easy and took me 20 minutes. The brew I took up with me to compete this project was still warm when I finished.
The clips I used -

Why is my blind very stiff when opening but fine when lowering. Your help will be greatly appreciated

Sorry for the late reply Most likely the mechanism for drawing/ opening the blind is cracked. Gravity helps it go in the downwards direction but when lifting it back up the crack will ad extra friction or jam the movement. You can get a new lift mechanism from eBay or Amazon fairly cheaply and swop it out.

The bit I am struggling with is removing the broken clip and inserting a new one. You skipped this step 😔 Please can you do a mini video of this step when you've finished your brew 😊🥰

Hi Becky. I think I left the old ones on that hadn’t snapped off. The new ones should have a bit of a clip where they can slid onto the blind. It’s a bit fiddley but they slide on them you can attach the strings. I hope this helps. Ross

The problem i have is the string are broken the strings are fine, its driving me nuts. Help please anyone.😢

If it’s the cord for pulling up or down then they are on Amazon for around £10. If it’s the 5 or 6 strings that come down to hold the clips then you should be able to cut them away and thread new ones through the bar and tie them on. I hope that helps a little?

@@fathogwoodworking no not that one's my friend there are 2 stings in the centre they are broken. Thanks. One is 12" to the right of the left chord the other one is 12" left from the pull chord.
