Thanks for the tip. Although, our shower was just recently remodeled, the shower drain is really slow, so I might try this another day and see if it fixes it because who needs a new modern shower that doesn't drain properly.

My Drain cover does not come off. I took a long plastic drain cleaner stick that has random pokey porcupine edges and tag teamed with a very long skinny drain brush and worked through the circular grate holes. I also used a tweezer to help pull when stuff got to the surface of the grate. So much hair and gross stuff. Thank you for empowering and making us brave! No plumber visit.

Exactly what I do, too, except I make a "T" handle on the other end of the hook, just in case the coat hanger wire slips from my wet fingers. BTW. he's fortunate that the grate is attached with screws vs. adhesive, like mine, so I use a fine wire w/hook to fish out the hair, Tedious but it works.

Hi. Thank you for your video. The water in my shower is slow. Used baking soda and vinegar 3 days ago, didn't work. Used drano and hot water - not much helpful either. I wish my shower drain cover is screwed in. Mine does NOT have screws. I tried pulling them with my hands, didn't work. What can I do? Please help.

I used a metal coat hanger and a pipe cleaner and nothing happened. My boyfriend fixed it with pipe unclogging wire, so I think that this wire is the best solution, because is few meters long and can reach places who the coat hanger can't.

OMG Nasty Nasty Nasty yuck LOL, even someone who has been doing it millions times still says Nasty , Regardless I appreciate you made this video, you saved me a trip and $$ to ace Hardware and I had to pull monsters that got stuck in the drain. Would you recommend a hair strainer so that hair won't be drained down there to begin with and some other items that don't belong in there?

See I did this but after a week or two it just instantly fills with water & I don’t even have long hair i have a boy cut, the water will just fill the shower & take about 20 mins to drain. I rent & I’m always having problems with this place 🤦‍♀️ with a leak in the kitchen, the toilets don’t flush & overfill with water all over the floor when it rains just horrible 😣 ima try pouring boiling water down the drains tomorrow
