Thank you very much Robb, I watched all three videos regarding starter motor clean up, reassembly and test . So logical with correct terminology and a very pleasant voice all three helps a great deal understand. When testing, red lead was on the solenoid, black on the body but how did you activate it? Could not see what you touched or pressed, would you mind showing this please. Please load up more. Thank you so much. Best wishes.

Pat Pathinayake Thank you for your kind words. The black lead is attached to the main starter body and the red lead is attached to the main positive post on the solenoid. The screwdriver tip is then touching the smaller ignition contact on the solenoid. Mine is a blade but some have a smaller nut and post. The screwdriver is then angled to touch the main positive post whilst maintaining contact with the smaller ignition post. This energises the solenoid moving the internal metal plunger to bridge the positive with the main starter. I can't stress enough that this is not how you test and I recommend that NO ONE does this. 👍🏾
