A security camera with a damaged Ethernet connection may no longer be covered under warranty. However, you may still be able to get your camera back up and running with a simple fix. In this video, we show you how to fix a Uniview camera's RJ45 connection.

There are a couple of different ways you can do this. In this video, we show you how to fix your connection using a keystone jack. There are a few different types of keystone jacks. There are some that require a tool and some that don't. In this video, we show you how to use both types.
Uniview's pinout diagram is identical to the T568-B Ethernet standard, making this a simple fix, compared to both our H-Series and R-Series line. Here's the order to line up the cables:
1. Orange Stripe
2. Orange
3. Green Stripe
4. Blue
5. Blue Stripe
6. Green
7. Brown Stripe
8. Brown
When you're using a keystone jack, be sure to follow the color or number diagram printed on the side of your jack to make sure you're getting the wires in the proper order.
