Definitely, improved the look. Just a few thoughts though... I can't be sure from the video, but if the flanges of the brackets were pointed inward toward the inside of the stretcher bar not only would it rest more flush on the wall, but the structural support of the brackets would be centered closer to the point in which the warpage is occurring. You can give that a try. In the future, if you are stretching your own canvases try to purchase stretcher bar stock that is made from pine that is finger joined every 9 to 12 inches. Your local art framer should have these. This goes a long way to prevent warpage after stretching. Continuous lengths of pine milled that small will almost always warp. For obvious reasons, the stretched canvases you buy online are made from cheaper materials and not usually finger joined pine. But, well done.
