How to Fix Active VE52 Pressure Washer when leaking water Internally

I love my Active VE52 pressure washer I have in the garage. It started leaking and we had it replaced under warranty. I decided to open it and see the problem. Re-greased the gears and replaced O-ring and works great.

Hello check out the timeline 5:05 where the oring for the plate that holds 5 white valves. Looks like one of them was not installed correctly and the oring got pinched and started leaking from there. Replaced the oring and perfect.

could a leak prevent the unit from turning itself off when the trigger is release? I have a cat 1800 ( I think is pretty much the same motor/pump as the active) that just keeps running

Hello sorry I just noticed the question. I believe so check these orings to see if they are leaking or any other section. If there is no pressure buildup the unit will keep running. Also there is the sensor that will sense the pressure also could be bad. The Active has 2 year warranty not sure about your but should ask just in case. the white box with the cable I believe that is the sensor that will make the unit stop. What I did was removed the internals and hook it up to the power and water and turn on the unit to see where the leak is at. Thanks

I noticed my inlet water screen is missing. Do you know what size i would need by chance? I have no leaks at all but my active ve52 will cycle on and off. The pressure washer works fine but it’s acting like there’s air somewhere and it will kick on off every 3 seconds or so.

Hello inlet water screen is usually standard and I would recommend to install one. My main Dewalt washer got messed up due to a small amount of rocks that came in through the water supply and messed up the orings inside the unit. If you upgrade the hose they sometimes do the auto on off thing. Thanks

During the intro: "I love it, it's so cheap I could buy 3 for the rpice of one the real Comercial units!" 3 minutes later: "ugh, why do they make it out of the cheap castings? Why not real stainless steel that will last a lot longer?" SMH. 😂

I can’t seem to get the white valves out despite removing the metal cover. Is there a trick to it?

Hello I think I used a small needle nose plyer to twist the white plastic loose first and used WD40 to help it. Once you twist and loose it up then twist and pull with the plyers till it comes out. It was kind of tight on there. Hope it helps thanks

At 3:28 those o rings that consist of 5, one of mine is torn so that’s why mine leaks. Any idea where I can find them even aftermarket or another brand? I believe they are called water seal gaskets

Hello I would remove it and measure it. Take it to a place that does repairs for pressure washers and they might have it. Is your unit older than 2 years? If its under 2 years you can get a replacement for the unit. I checked online and there some for sale but you would have to know the exact measurements. I wonder if Active might have some available. Mine is working great but if it dies I would keep it for parts for the replacement I received. Let me know how it goes. thanks

Hello we use the crap out this unit. Weekends for our cars and my son uses it for his detail part time. Sometimes washes 4 to 7 cars per weekend. A great price for the unit but is you can afford the new one 2.0 maybe get that one but we love this one. Thanks
