Hello, after seven years of having an iPhone 5S, I finally upgraded devices to an iPhone 12 Pro. Upon attempting to copy my old phone to my new one through iTunes, I must have done something wrong because all of a sudden it was stuck on endless reboot. I was so overwhelmed and sad, already planning to make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar. Since, I have not had a new phone for so long, many software features are entirely new for me, as well as this whole process of copying an older phone to a newer one. Then, I stumbled upon your video and tried all three of your methods, until finally the last one of restoring my phone worked. I do not have enough words to thank you! You do not know how relieved I feel now. Thank you an infinite amount of times for making this video!!!

Thank you for creating this video. Your first step worked for me. I followed your instructions for step 1 and did it 3 times. The last time, the apple logo stayed on and after 5 or 6 minutes, the phone came up with the numerical pin sign on screen. I entered my pin numbers and the phone began to work. Shortly after that, I received a phone call and the call completed. Your instructions were easy to follow and Step 1 worked for me.

Thank you for making this video. The second option was what worked for me. I have an iPhone XR, 128GB model. It has been short on memory most of the year, which stopped me from updating the OS and being able to back up my phone to my Mac (my last back up was in October of 2019 [which is on me as my phone had bricked itself once already in February of 2020, phone was bought in August 2019]). I have been able to deal with the memory issue by constantly deleting stuff from my phone (old texts, old pics and old pics in old texts). On Tuesday of last week my phone was not displaying the names of apps, was running really slow, typical out of memory things. I thought restarting the phone would help, it didn't. Restarting put me in the boot loop. I tried the first method, forced reboot, until the battery was dead (more times than I could count). That didn't work. I let the battery drain fully, even to the point where the "plug back into power" screen wouldn't pop up any more. I let it sit for 2 days, powered it up on Friday, hoping that would clear the loop boot. It did not. Thats when I decided to go to option #2. I was scared to loose all my data, so I tried to make the first option work best I could. I didn't have faith it would work due to only having 0.3GB of storage left when I had last been able to check. It took about 15-20 minutes for the update to download to my computer and on to my phone. Then another 20-30 minutes for my phone to rebuild my photo library and all other data on my phone. My phone was back to normal, with an additional 5.96GB of free space. My guess is that my phone had automatically downloaded some updates that I declined to install, leaving them on my phone along with the OS it was currently using. Currently I am looking for an external hard drive so I can avoid the anxiety that comes with not having your phone currently backed up. Hopefully my comment will help someone that is in a similar situation as I was. I found it comforting and helpful to read the comments and find someone with a similar set of events/circumstances to mirror the actions they took. Best piece of advice would be to keep a positive outlook and try the less destructive options first. Also REGULARLY BACK UP YOUR PHONES!!! It really takes a large part of the anxiety out of the equation and allows you the freedom to jump directly to option #3, gets you back up and running to normal in the quickest time frame possible. I will say it was nice living circa 1999 for 3-4 days, once I accepted the fact I might loose all my pictures from the previous 2 years.

Thanks for making this video. I had a phone with full memory that went into boot loop when I was charging it. I did option #1 a few times before moving on to option #2. I did option #2 a few times, and went to the Apple Support centre for help. They repeated option #2 and was about to give up when suddenly, the Enter Passcode screen appeared. I still don't know what happened but thankfully, my phone is back to normal. Some pics and videos in Photos were not restored into the phone but I can still access them in iCloud.

LET'S GO. Method 2 worked for me and I didn't have to restore and wipe my phone. Life saver.

Here's what worked for me 1. Remove sim card 2. Do the hard reset 3. Put back sim card as soon as the hard reset begins. It took me like 5 times with the hard reset until I did all three steps and it worked. Not sure if it was the hard reset or removing the Sim Card. But there is hope.

THANK GOD I FOUND THIS VIDEO! Was stuck like this for 3 hours but when I connected it to my laptop it finally stopped. I’m so glad I found this video; I’m currently trying to delete things so my storage will free up. The only weird thing that happens after your phone is turns back on, is that some of the app icons won’t show up even though you can open up the app when you click on it, the simple solution is to turn your phone off and back on and hope that you don’t fall into a boot loop again. Such a helpful video, I would’ve been crying by now if wasn’t for this.

This might be a useless idea for some people experiencing the same thing, but mine also boot looped for hours and I restarted it A LOT of times but to no avail. I was having a full blown panic attack during the whole process so I fell asleep and let it restart over and over for the whole night. And bam, when I woke up it asked for my password.

Hi - i've tried all three of these solutions. I had the error message after trying to update my phone, so i resorted to restoring it. I received the same error message. I tried this again 3 times - same thing. I guess this just means my phone is irreparable? My phone isn't like the one in the video, it opens the apple logo against a white background, and five seconds later it turns itself off, and then shows the apple logo again etc, and this continues literally for hours without stopping.

Hey, what about attempting to recover photos from an iPhone in that state? I have some precious pictures on it, I’ve found nothing about it anywhere on the web. What I did find was whatever method I found requires you to pay, WTF I’m not paying to have my photos recovered. I tried cracked programs but to no avail. It apparently happened because my old iPhone’s storage got full (not because of an update fail), I tried the 1st method and I constantly fail (maybe I haven’t done it enough times) and if I attempt to restore, that would mean all of my photos would be gone ;( Please help me!!!

I'm scared to do the restoring method because like you said, if I didn't back up my phone my data will be lost. The thing is, I didn't back up my data because it said I did not have storage to. Such as my icloud data. So I am scared if I update it and if it works my data will just be gone.

Even after restoring, it still does the bootloop, not as serious as before but it gets more and more serious, right now it would go from the Apple logo straight to the recovery mode without being connected to my computer even if it has no usb cable in it

i have no clue what happened but i did steps 1 and 3 one after another a couple time and then spammed the volume and side button (iphone 11) and finally after 5 hours on constantly watching videos and scrolling through apple support (which wasnt helpful) my phone is back on thank you!

My phone has been in a boot loop for 4 hours I spammed doing the volume up down hold power button I held the power button for about 20 seconds so my phone would turn off atleast manually I then let go and would restart that process as fast as I could worked like a charm on 2 devices I had to fix

[April 2022 FIX, iPhone 12] Hope this can help someone. Please share it if it works for you as well. I know how frustrating it is to watch videos with the same tips of hard resetting. My logo was constantly stuck even after hard resetting it a bunch of times. I haven’t backed my phone up in a long time so I did not want to go into Recovery/DFU mode and risk losing everything. Steps: 1. Let the battery FULLY DRAIN until you no longer see the plug cable image 2. Charge your phone for a few minutes till the apple logo shows up and is stuck again. 3. Hard Reset (press volume up, press volume down, hold side button till it restarts) 4. If still stuck, unplug cable to stop charging 5. Keep Hard Resetting until the battery is FULLY DRAINED again (no more plug cable image) 6. Keep repeating On my 3rd drain, I left it alone unplugged for 7 minutes then my lock screen finally appeared.

Sometimes if you have the tools and are able to disconnect the battery and check all the other ribbon cables haven’t come loose somehow . This fixed my problem .
