Tyrsky's old italian FIAMM airhorn from the early 1970s was missing it's compressor and the horn itself was a bit oxidized.
Tyrsky is an old finnish wooden boat, made in the early '70s. It's a 35 feet long displacement hull -type boat and we are mostly located in the southern areas of the lakeland Finland.
My channel is a finnish boating vlog, mostly about wooden boats and sailing in the Lake Saimaa. Sometimes I vlog about boat restoration and maintenance, but usually it is about boating and travel vlogs from the beautiful and unique sceneries from the Saimaa archipelago.

I'm guessing a horn like that only needs around 30 psi. Don't compare this horn to those found on large trucks.

The problem is not the horn, you need more air pressure and those are very small, and those horns sound more than in the video I have a similar one, you need more air.

Thanks for your comment, I need to look in to this, before i install the horn to the boat. What kind of compressor do you have on your horn?

@@ManuEloaho Any compressor that exceeds 120 pounds or easier 200 psi works for you, in my case I don't have it in a boat, I have it in a bus, I have the one from your video and some that I make like a train, greetings!

@@MATIAS_F297 That is so much pressure that there's probably no 12 volt compressors that can do that? The horn has had a 12-volt air before, the horn itself came with my boat and it was only missing the compressor. On a bus i think you have on-board compressor for brakes etc. already that can give such psi as 100 to 200? The one i have is rated to 1,2 bar (17psi) and then there is a bigger one from the horn's manufacturer FIAMM for 1,9bar (27psi). But I will dive into this, thank you!

@@ManuEloaho it looks like the direction of the diaphragm might be important. There seemed to be a pattern on it when you disassembled it, which indicates that the air has always flowed over it in that same way. It might be worthwhile to see if that helps.

@@AnthonyGallon no, it has nothing to do with it, here what happens is the problem of lack of air pressure. A metal diaphragm is the same for both sides, also if the tension nozzle is fine without imperfections, it does not affect if the diaphragm had a position angle, which in this case is not because I have one of those speakers.
