Ok so I found a fix. What I did was turn the flashlight on then off then went back to the camera then back to the flashlight, turned it on then off then went back to the camera and it worked for me every time. hHpe this works for someone else

macdaddypimpping hey i have a question!! Every time I go to the camera app and I press on the photo option there’s this crack visible. I don’t know if it’s the rear camera or the lens protecter. But I have an iPhone 7 Plus and the portrait lens is fine there is no crack. The normal photo lens is cracked or something idk 😐

The problem is the ribbon cable thats connected to the flash and lock button theyre one cable and most likely if the lock button still works the flash might have fried. Its a cheap repair dont worry

I had the same issue and I just fixed it yesterday. All I had to do was buy a new camera, unfortunately if both you camera and flashlight isn't working, then its a damaged camera. My x2 zoom and front cameras worked fine but 1x camera was black.

Bro, not every iPhone have the same issues like yours. Some are drop, water damage, software or hardware problems. It's not as simple as just one simple fix or else Apple will not make money on their service.

macdaddypimpping exactly. They don’t want you to fix it yourself so they can make money. This iPhone was dropped, had water damage, also software issues. Point is it’s fixed with simply going over the internal side of the phone without paying apple to do it. Which is why people follow these videos. Also why I commented on this specific video. if you have restored you phone up to date and did hard resets and reconfigured the system and it worked awesome!!!! Most the time that isn’t the case. Reason why I posted what I posted in the first place. So after all that hopefulness and it dosnt work. Give what I said a shot and I bet!! It just might solve more of other peoples problems.ACTUALLY IT IS THAT SIMPLE.Might take a little patience

IOS 14 ruined majority of all older iPhone from X and older but not on iPhone 11 because it's the newest as of now! Apple tends to let users or Apple fans think that their old iPhone went bad and need to be replace with a new ones.

You will need to determine 1st if your camera & flash are software or hardware failure. The iPhone in the video was having the same issues like yours and got it fixed.

Your device crash or froze, if your device is still under Apple Warranty then I would suggest making an appointment with Apple.

Try to test out on Instagram or other 3rd party apps and see if it works. If it does then it's a software if not then it's a hardware issue. Maybe you need to try to open your iPhone 8 and disconnect power and flex camera for the back camera.

You have to find out if your camera is a software issue or hardware issue first.

It is a hardware issue. I’ve tried all the other methods and they don’t work. Even my Face ID has spoilt too. Sometimes when the back camera comes on, and I restart my phone due to some other issues it goes off again💔

Sometimes hardware just stuck into certain mode and by disconnect power completely will reset any hardware issues.

I don't think you have tried all the steps in the video by opening your iPhone and disconnect those flex cables that I talked about. Call your local repair shop for an estimate, just don't get ripoff. Good luck.
