1. Brush twice a day. 2. Floss once a day. 3. Use mouthwash if you need/want to. 4. Brush/scrape your tongue. 5. Breathe through your nose, not your mouth. 6. Get regular dental checkups. 7. Stop smoking. 8. If you do all these things and still have bad breath, talk to your doctor.

I like this as its not like five minute craft that make you mix random stuff and eat it but she gives actual facts and proper information

Something that isn’t mentioned here that I’ve heard from multiple dentists is rinsing with warm salt water every night. I’ve found that it’s even more effective than mouthwash.

1. Brushing at Night, and the morning for 2 minutes. 2. Flossing at least 1 time per day, I suggest might. 3. Brushing/cleaning your tongue, I personally believe this is as important as brushing! 4. Oral rinses. Recommend Listerine! 5. Regular dental check ups. Some causes of bad breath: Make sure to prevent a dry mouth! Diet, Smoking, etc.

For people that are anxious about their breath, beware that stress and anxiety can reduce your salivary flow and make you more prone to dry mouth wich makes your breath even worse. Try to maintain a good oral health and at the same time try not to think about your breath all the time

Brush your teeth twice and never forget to clean the tongue. NEVER. Also after every meal clean in between the teeth by flossing. And the last best step is once u clean everything, teeth and tongue, brush with salt and then you r good to go. I stated my own hygiene routine. And it works really really good.

Other common causes not mentioned in the video: 1. Acid reflux and stomach ulcer; you have the experience of having your mouth extremely sour when you wake up with an intense bad breath. That is because of acid reflux. You can fix it by a change for a thicker pillow to prevent from the flow of the gastric juice toward your throat. Acid reflux can also be induced by spicy and acidic foods etc. 2. Sinusitis; the secretions flow into the nose and from there to your throat causing bad breath. Each of the mentioned can smell differently.

If you didn't know, you gotta brush your tounge to make your breath smells good

A lot of the bad smell is blood in your mouth from poor gum health. I used to floss and there would always be a little blood on the floss which didn't smell good. After a few years of teeth/gum cleanings every four months, now I can floss as hard as I want and the floss is never red because my gums are in perfect shape. My mouth feels and smells so much cleaner than it used to because of that.

Bad breath is not always due to your mouth or teeth or tongue. Even if you have brushed very well and flossed and done all that, it can happen. The reason is bad bacteria in stomach. Basically chemical imbalances in stomach. These people have their mouths smelling all the time, even after brushing or when they haven't eaten anything or have their mouths closed for a long time. The smell comes from inside in form of gas, it cannot be eliminated off by brushing the teeth or cleaning the mouth, which has nothing to do with the smell itself. To fix this, take lemon water daily in the morning. The problem will be gone within 2 weeks, but don't stop the lemon water. Take it everyday. Do some pranayama daily morning, like kapalbhati and anulom vilom.

Contrary to what many people believe, I think crooked teeth are the most common reason for bad breath (especially crooked molars), since they trap food in between and you won't even be aware of the problem. I'd recommend using a water floss to check if there's any food particles stuck between your teeth. If you have this problem, consider wearing braces to straighten your teeth for the best long-term results. If your teeth and dental hygiene are perfect but you still struggle with halitosis, examine other causes (like stomach,...) (although this is much rarer)

I’ve had chronic bad breath for like 7 years now. And I’m 17 years old now. I basically went through doctor and the doctor said couldn’t diagnose anything saying that some people just have that naturally and maybe I got allergic, and that there is nothing I can do to fix it. I already went to dentist, and the densist said that my oral hygiene is near perfect and that my teeth are excellent. I went to EHT doctor too and she said I got no sinus, I already remove my tonsil but yet my bad breath still stinks. I brush twice a day in the morning and before I sleep, tried therabreath mouthwash and it didn’t do anything. Even tho I close my mouth it’s still going through my nose and stink up the whole room I enter. Even when someone stand close to me and I didn’t talk they still can smell that bad breath. Some people that don’t know this story and judging me that I have bad oral higene but the truth is I always spent 10-15 minutes in bathroom just to brush my teeth and scrape my tongue and tried everything I can. I tried drinking peppermint herbal tea and eating sugar free candy but yet nothing happen. I’m so desperate and so scared to socialize and friends with new people. I have no energy to live this life anymore. Who and what can help me :’(.

I suffered from bad breathe for years, I tried everything, turns out it was just anxiety. After just facing it and saying to myself "fuck it, I don't care what anyone thinks, I'mma just breathe" I breathed in anyones face, I didn't tense up around people, eventually the anxiety left and I didn't suffer from dry mouth anymore, it went back to normal.

Do not brush your teeth with salt. It is abrasive and will damage your enamel. Just because you don’t notice any difference or feel any sensitivity doesn’t mean that your enamel isn’t damaged.

*Long text* I used to have tonsil stones and bad breath, but you probably have the solution in your kitchen, and if not, it's very cheap, or at least in many countries it is. It's baking soda. I've been using it for a few months and it's the best decision I've ever made. I put baking soda on my toothbrush and I brush my tongue (don't brush it very hard because it is worse), I rinse with water, and I do it again. You feel the freshness immediately. If you have tonsil stones you can put a little bit on the tip of your tongue and spread it on your tonsils and then rinse with water, if you can't do it with your tongue, do it with your finger. Since I've done that, I no longer have tonsil stones. Note: Don't swallow it, spit it out and that's it. Nothing bad will happen to you if you swallow it, but if you do it all the time it can affect the PH of your stomach. You can also put a tablespoon of baking soda in a glass of water (it doesn't has to be hot) and use it as a mouthwash, but I don't do it because it left my front teeth feeling rough, but it went away by brushing those teeth with the same baking soda, although personally I no longer do it. I also have a small bottle that I keep in my pocket with baking soda, and if I'm not at home and I can't brush my teeth, I use it and the bad taste in my mouth is gone. But, if the police come and they see that, I don't know what you're going to say. 😅🤣 Drinking water also helps, so if you combine drinking water, brushing your teeth, flossing, and using baking soda, it may be enough to get rid of bad breath. There is a video explaining why baking soda is not bad for your teeth. Brush your teeth with coconut oil and gargle and move it around in your mouth. Spit it out and brush your teeth normally with your toothpaste and use hydrogen peroxide 3% as your mouth wash and gargle with it. Spit it out and and rinse with water. Your breath and mouth will be fresh all day and even when you wake up the next morning. I do this everyday. The coconut oil and hydrogen peroxide also helps with whitening!

Drinking green tea at least once a day also helps a lottttt

Sometimes the smell comes from the throat .. it doesn’t matter how much you brush your teeth or tongue, if you have continuous throat infections/inflammation issue, etc, there’s a good chance you’re going to have a bad breath

I find floss awkward to use then my dentist recommended interdental brushes. I have close set teeth but the smallest works so well. Much better than floss and easier to reach the back teeth. I found out that one gap at the back was responsible for the occasional whiff of bad breath! I could hardly reach it with floss so problem solved

I was dating an older white women a few years ago. I was 28 at the time and she was 41. She was extremely beautiful but she literally had the worst breath I’ve ever smelled in my entire life. It destroyed everything. It was such a deal breaker. The early morning it wasnt bad at all. It was usually always noticeable around 5 or 6 at night or later. I also notice that when she sneezed, her sneezes use to stink really bad too. Like I could smell her sneeze in the air. I’m assuming it was from the bad breathe. It was weird. The reason why I mentioned her race is because I read somewhere that bad breathe can be inherited due to certain ethnic backgrounds. Not sure if that’s true or not. But I do know for a fact that certain health issues & diseases are more or less prone in certain races/ethnicities.

It's a very complex issue and the specific causes can vary. I had excellent hygiene but then one hygienist recommended laboratory tests at a specialist dental clinic. I had swabs of my molars, tongue, palate sent to a laboratory. Turns out I had throat bacterial infections, 5 of them! Peptostrep aureas and fusobacterium nucleatum were the worst ones as they were way above threshold (4x over the normal). I had bad breath from age 12 until 28, and finally at age 28 I solved it through several courses of antibiotics

switched to an electric toothbrush a couple years ago and its been the best decision for personal hygiene. its so much better than a regular toothbrush. not sure why i waited so long

I challenge anyone who only flosses to brush, then floss, then use a waterpik. The amount of debris you leave behind by only flossing will blow your mind when you see what the waterpik flushes out .

I'm pretty sure my problem is dry mouth. I've never really had this problem before wearing a mask, since i have to do so every day for 8+ hours. I brush and floss daily, and use a tongue scraper along with mouth wash and i can't escape bad breath at the end of the day :(

Guys if you seem to have bad breath that doesn't go away despite maintaining good oral hygiene make sure to get checked out for H pylori and SIBO. A course of antibiotics would treat the infection and get rid of your bad breath for good!

This miss a big factor behind bad breath. That's you need to breath in a strong smell to change your breath smell. I recommanded to buy a really strong smell soap, the one with the color yellow. Put it infront of your nose and breath in and out for about a minute after brushing. And remove the source of the bad smell that you breath in, it could be the kitchen, bedroom or the bathroom.

I’ve actually found that my molars tend to hold more bacteria and the space in the cheeks and on the gums around them therefore brushing around the molars can sometimes completely fix morning breath the following day

Get a water pick to clean between your teeth. The first few times I used it I tasted that bad breath taste, which told me I was dislodging bacteria.

Warning. Mouthwash kills the good bacteria too. Side effect include high blood pressure.
