Very efficient use of video time. I appreciate that. Long-winded explanations and inclusions of personal experiences before solutions in such videos are often frustrating. Thank you! I can work with this! I was afraid I would need to disconnect the battery every time I shut it off! Reaching under to connect/disconnect the plug is so much easier/ faster. Really didn't wanna wake up to a dead battery. It's a temporary sort-of-fix until I have the time/funds to fix it completely. But I can still defrost and my battery won't get drained. Good enough for now!

Her HVAC Module resister....only needed two screws to remove....I was able to tell they replaced it” because it had yellow junkyard markings....to make a long story short....they installed the wrong one and was installed backwards” water from the dash unit....got into the module. Glad the video was helpful and I appreciate the feedback man. It's hard to give you an opinion without seeing the vehicle. A good place to start would be getting a wire diagram for your particular car. That will really help you narrow down which components could be bad. Good luck on it and let me know how you make out. My first thought would be a bad control head if it has Auto climate

I just replaced the resistor on my 2004 Buick Rainier, with the climate control system. I worked perfectly for one day. I’m not going to spend anymore money on it. I will just use a 40amp fuse and a 40amp switch to straight wire the fan to FULL ON. All this technology is great if you got loads of money to keep it going. But, honestly, old school is the best.

Thanks for vid. Fyi when people measure the purple from red youll see the voltage fluctuate. That lets you know the pulsed width modulation is working coming from the climate controller, therefore its your blower resistor module like he said in the video.
@rlvtrader
@rlvtrader 6 ай бұрын
Thanks for this. Mine was fluctuating and not at 0 (just near it). When I increased the fan speed on the controller to max, the voltage was over 12V between these 2 wires, which made me think climate controller was doing what it was supposed to do. I'm going to buy the resistor module, fingers crossed that totally fixes it.
