Hello. You've been very helpful to me. I encountered errors with my left shift button acting strange and doing tab function and the right shift button making backslashes. I did what you said about reinstalling the driver on the device manager, restarted my computer and it worked. Greetings from the Philippines. I subscribed to your channel. Thank you again.

Caps Lock and Shift key issues on your laptop can be frustrating, but there are several potential solutions to address this problem. Here are some steps to try: 1. Toggle the Caps Lock Key: Sometimes, the Caps Lock key can get stuck in software. Try pressing the Caps Lock key a few times in succession to see if it releases. 2. Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve keyboard-related issues. 3. Check for Sticky Keys: Sticky Keys is an accessibility feature in Windows that can sometimes cause problems. To disable Sticky Keys, press the Shift key five times in a row. A dialog box will appear; click "No" to disable Sticky Keys. 4. Check Language Settings: It's possible that your keyboard layout or language settings have changed. Check your language and keyboard settings in Windows: Open "Settings" by pressing Windows + I. Go to "Time & Language" > "Language." Ensure that the correct language is selected as your default input method. 5. Check for Software Conflicts: Third-party software or keyboard customization tools can sometimes interfere with keyboard functionality. If you have any such software installed, try disabling or uninstalling it temporarily to see if it resolves the issue. 6. Test with an External Keyboard: If you have access to an external USB keyboard, connect it to your laptop and see if it exhibits the same behavior. This will help determine if the issue is with your laptop's built-in keyboard. 7. Update or Roll Back Keyboard Drivers: Outdated or corrupted keyboard drivers can cause keyboard issues. To update or roll back keyboard drivers: Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager." Expand the "Keyboards" section. Right-click on your laptop's keyboard and select "Update driver" or "Properties" > "Driver" > "Roll Back Driver" if the option is available. 8. Scan for Malware: Malware or viruses can sometimes affect keyboard behavior. Run a full system scan using your preferred antivirus or antimalware software. 9. Perform a System Restore: If the issue started after recent changes or software installations, consider using System Restore to revert your laptop to a previous state when the keyboard was functioning correctly. 10. Hardware Check: If none of the software-related steps resolve the issue, it's possible there's a hardware problem with your laptop's keyboard. In this case, you may need to consult a technician or the laptop manufacturer for repairs or replacement. If you've tried these steps and the issue persists, it's advisable to contact your laptop manufacturer's customer support or seek professional assistance for further diagnosis and resolution.
