How to FIX Broken Ram slots on a Mainboard MSI Z170A Titanium Repair

Today we got a Mainboard with not working RAM slots. I will show you the way i proceed to diagnose this problem and how i fixed it!

The Copper wire i use is 0.1mm Enameld wire, link is dead, but the wire wasnt great anyways

nice job finding the open. Just wondering if there is a meggers test (or something) that could help find where the board fault is. I know that troubleshooting isn't and exact science.

That is some dedication there with the tracing, good job! Don't you worry about interference in those wires? Aren't the original traces designed in specific lengths to match the impedance with such high frequencies, or is it really negligible?

You are absolutly right with that and i think this repair will have an effect to the maximum mhz that the RAM can run on the board. But i think for everyday use this will be fine.

You said the missing light on the memory tester was DQ57 and DQS7P, but on the boardview you stated that the faulty line was AJ2, AJ1, and AK3. How did you know that it's the one corresponds to the missing light signal??

The pin in the DDR slot was called M_DQS_A_DP7. So you need the corresponding PIN in the DDR slot regarding the tester!
