Well, this DEFINITELY worked for me. It’s June 2024, I’m living in Germany on business. Bought a 1997 E230 with an A/C control knob problem. Found this video. Followed steps, and now my control knob works as designed !! 🫡👊🏼 Thank you sir for letting all of us know about this fix. It was really TOO EASY!!!

My C36 climate control only worked to blow into the dash vents. Thanks to this video, I pulled it apart, and found that someone had fitted it with a secondhand unit - it had the wrecker's label on it. When they replaced it, they failed to dock those two small tubes at the rear. Did that, and everything worked as the factory intended. Thanks for the clear explanation.

My center vents stopped working on my 1990 R129 SL, whilst yours is a different module to mine the basics are the same, Mr Mercedes told me there is nothing that can be done you cannot get inside the unit, watching this video gives a ray of hope , Many thanks from Cheshire UK

hi , you just need to spray any contact cleaner (WD40) in the potentiometer and rotate it quickly many times, and it will be fixed it immediately.

The video shows that the switching of the blowing speeds after your repair occurs with a delay (this should not be so). I had the same problem with blowing speed, cleaning the resistor with alcohol helped me.
