If you have BMW and you have code P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0307, P0308 this is the right video. Most of the times a code such as P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0307, P0308 is triggered by a bad ignition coil or bad spark plug. We demonstrated how to fix code P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0307, P0308 on BMW e46 but it should be help on many models since they all share the same M54 engine:

Where do you buy the coils?

Before anyone goes out and buy coils, you should make the determination that it's a coil issue first. Swap the coils between two cylinders and see if the issue follows the suspected bad coil.

Also, check the spark plugs, oil on the cylinder head.

Hey man idk if you’re gonna see this but I was having the misfire code on cylinder 2 so I swapped the cylinder 1 and 2 coils to see if the problem followed like u said. My issue is I have a shitty scan tool so I couldn’t clear the P0302 code from cylinder 2 before I swapped them and now I’m having a P0302 and P0301 code. I think this confirms that my coil is bad because the code followed to cylinder 1 but I’m not very confident that there isn’t another problem causing the misfire aswell or it could be that I’m just still having the code in cylinder 2 because I didn’t clear it before swapping the coils. Idk tho so maybe u could tell me what u think if u end up seeing this lol

@@andreyshairline5261 swap the suspected coil to cylinder 3 and see if it follows again and register a cylinder 3 misfire code. I think it is pretty clear after that. Just do a search on your specific car and im sure you'll find a method to reset code without scan tool. Usually it involves disconnecting the battery or removing a fuse.

@@vtec206 sounds good thanks man. One more thing if u don’t mind me asking, if I do confirm it is the coil by doing what u said should I just buy the one coil or should I replace all 6. Sorry if that’s a dumb question I’m just seeing a lot of conflicting info online about what u “should” do in this situation. Some people say just buy the one and make sure it’s the same brand as the others and some people say that it’s better to do all 6

Thank you, thank you, Danke schön! Your video taught me a lot, and today it saved me a LOT of money. My wife's 2000 Z3 had the P0301 code, and I gambled that it was the coil and the spark plug. (And not the fuel injector.) I bought those two new items, along with the proper deep-well spark plug socket, very magnetic, for a total of $61 dollars American. That's really cheap! Followed your instructions, changed out the components, and my wife's old Z3 now runs like a top, with no more codes or problems. So good!! I appreciate your help so much. Gott segne dich.

i just deleated the P0305 code with a cheap code reader. then i fixed with a motorsystem cleaner by LiMoly and then used a catalytic cleaner by Motull. after 200-300 Km code never came back and i can go full throttle again. just fill the motor cleaner in the tank (50liter max), drive until its almost empty. then fill catalytic cleaner in the tank (30-40liter) and drive. thats it. i couldnt believe it. i read this tip at a amazon recommendation. i swear by god it worked 🖖 my car is a mercedes w203 c320 6 cylinder gasoline engine

Ok can you help pls I have x6M 2014 I changed spark plug as I removed some hose I broke a clip on pvc hose it has 4 clips and now I got off and on misfired I don’t know it is because of the clips or not on bank 1 p0301 pls help I also swapped the coil not help

I’ve had p0305 for like damn near over 6 months I swapped my ignition coil also the spark plug . I figure maybe it was a vacuum leake I fixed the leak and it still has the codE that showed up and it’s only for the 5th cylinder I just stay riding with the scanner connected and I’ll erase the code whenever it’ll pop up lol Im gonna try fuel injectors next

I have the same problem on my 2006 bmw 530i. I replaced the egnition coils, spark plugs, and fuel injector #6 and it still has code po306 and the car is still shaky. What should be my next move?

I will mention some of the things that may put Check engine light on your dashboard and are common to break in M54b30 engine or in BMW`s in general: CCV (needs to be replaced at 100-150 k miles, DISA Valve, Air take inboot, Oxygen sensors - there are two, fuel injectors and of course spark plugs and ignition coils.

Thank you brother. I fix this but. My odb now saying. Permanent problema can not be erase the car will have to do it after the problme is fix. 2013 x5 50i. My car. It gave me engine mal function after I fixed the problem iOS frustrating. 😢

I replace the coil on cylinder #1 cause my code reads p0301 on my e92. And it's still saying mis-fire on cylinder 1. Even after I erase it on my obd. It's still there.

@@alexandrbalic5745 what model is your BMW? Mine is a 2013 e92 330i M-sport edition. If it's a e92 and is a Sulev model. Theres a 10 year or 150k warranty. BMW has to fix it for free. The problem with mine is that all the coils and sparkplug were bad plus the cylinder head cover seal. And there was a bad eccentric shaft sensor that was bad. All of those can cause the error misfire. And it can be a million other thing wrong. Mine was fix for free due to the Sulev warranty. But any other model that is not a Sulev, is shit out of luck. That will be a 1 to 2 grand repair. Good luck buddy hopefully this will help you out.

I have replaced all the spark plugs on my 2007 328xi e92 n52 bmw and the ignition coil for the 2 cylinders that are reading misfire I cleared the codes and it still reads misfire for cylinder 2 and 4 and the car is running and idling pretty rough still what can it be

I found out it was possibly the ecu so I shipped it out to “The ECU Pro” company they will hopefully be able to repair it
