If you are running windows 10 operating system on your computer . then this video is for you .
DWM.exe which is also know as Desktop Window Manager it's helps you to rendering visual effects on the desktop.
sometimes it's consumes high CPU or memory on your system . so in this video I will show you guys how to
fix this issue on your system.
cmd command : msdt.exe /id PerformanceDiagnostic

Thanks but It said online troubleshooting service not enabled and then I checked in Control Panel and the Performance Troubleshooter was not there in the list of troubleshooting packs.

I feel like i did something, but that last part with the command prompt looks like it should have done something but rather is disabled and the performance troubleshooter will not run.

Worked for me, made my laptop in general faster. I did leave the option "Smooth edges of screen fonts", since I dont think that takes much performance and the text is much easier to read.

Thank you this seems to have fixed it it was spiking up to 100% GPU usage every few minutes and causing my frame rate in games and even my mouse on desktop to lag. I’m using a RTX 2060.

For those who have tried all these turn this off and turn that off videos and still have the issue, i was the same, i downloaded malwarebytes and turned out i had a malware issue that was causing DWM to hogg my gpu. Now everything works fine

Came here to fix a issue with plex server on WI soaking up 100% cpu usage. These actually dropped. Plex to using 4% and no longer a resource hog.

Because the window manager is loading the screensaver which takes high resources.

Worked for me on Windows 10 and two external monitors! Just choose any other screensaver (e.g. from None to Blank) - this action alone fixed my laggy display.

I like your approach, it is slow enough for a "$lowB" to follow and do each step. I have a hard time keeping up with fast how to computer stuff, because my burn in knowledge fuse takes time write to floppy disk... A good way to help this that all struggle with at some level, is to have a few lists of things to do at front end and at end perhaps. If a list of windows to open during vid is used to pre-open windows to be used at minute x.xx, one does not need to pause and restart to keep up with instructor.! place in tiled format if screen area available for use during vid. A outline can be provided as well or the transcript, for those who learn better with words, especially for filling in the gaps after watching vid. How about a VID for mindset and how to logic for hunting down memory hogs. Could show how2 on task manager and process explorer to compare and contrast, for those wanting to be a better memory-program resource sleuth.

@@rajanchaurasiya1734 1. Launch Settings by clicking the Start Menu and then Settings. 2. Choose Personalization from the list of options. 3. Select Colors from the options in the left sidebar. 4. Toggle the button under Make Start, taskbar, and action center transparent to Off. That's all :)

If you installed some stuff just delete it and restart. Mine was 100% memory and went back to normal

@@vishnupriyan8261 if you have installed something like a download that might be causing it so try restarting ur pc first before you do anything, if that doesn’t work delete what you had installed and just restart ur pc.

@@vishnupriyan8261 well try restarting your computer then check if its gone. I check my task manager sometimes and when i see the DWM is high memory i just restart my pc and its back to normal
