I have a Vizio 65" and with your video i fixed my TV. It took me a wile to figure it out, my TV had a pin problem on the right side of the screen so looking at the Board from behind was the left strip cable just like the video. I cut a piece of tape and the size covered about 4 pins but i started to notice some horizontal lines so i used a volt tester and found the lowest number on the 6th pin from left to right. I cut the tape to just cover 1 pin and worked perfectly. Thanks and hope this helps others, don't know how long it will work but its a start. Will make a video of my problem fixed soon

I just applied this fix to my LA40D550 which had a stationary, doubled image. First place I tried it worked on the double image but the affected side was dimmer than the good side, so I reduced the size of my tape to about 3mm, and (after a few guess and checks) more precisely blocked the problematic trace/s, this restored the whole image to its normal condition. Hooray! Thanks!

Thank you! This helped me fix my Samsung I got for free. I have ZERO electronic experience aside from tearing into ssshhhhhhh…shtuff…. When I was a little kid. Didn’t even get it put back together most of the time. On a side note if your screen has a touch button row on the bottom of the tv be extra careful on how things line up when you screw it all back together. The tv works though so thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and not trolling the internet like so many people do these days

It worked.....double image fixed as mentioned in the comments, just need to move the tape around and resize to get it 100%. 1st attempt it fixed the double image but was getting right side darker, so moved the 3mm width tape at different points and ta tadaaaaaa....worked. Thanks so much you was very helpful.

What pins did you tape? Do you tape different pins if it's a 50 inch screen? Maybe pins 13 to 25?

Look out for Vg pin track on the PCB , mask those pins

The Screen side where thr tape is pasted you will find thre will be slight loss of pixels and when you connect the TV audio with amp or home theter there will be intermittent noise screen will go blamk and resume , smtime when i connect my lapop HDMI out to TV i audio will not come in my TV , i have to connect and reconnect the HDMI cable. these problems you might face or you may not. I din face this problem at first but after 3 years am facing this problm. But image jumping problem never came back.. it got solved

the T con boardgenerates the noise disturbance signals , by using the tape we are masking off the noise signals , the board can be changed with a good new spare to eliminate this error...

Yes... It's absolutely fine.. you will notice a mild picture resolution clarity variation on the left or right side if the screen.. I ve been using my tv with the tape past 2.5 years it's working fine

My Samsung LED TV started doing this the other day and used this fix. Cant thank you enough it rearly works. My only problem was that I tried the right chanel and that did nothing but tried the left and first time didnt work but moved the tapes and it has worked brilliantly. Has anybody got any idea how long the fix will work for?

My samsung has 4 Tcon cables in stead of 2 like you showed. Fixed ghosting but have now got some vertical lines on the screen

the vertical line is caused by the LCD array defect or the cable seating problem , To fix this, simply reseat the cables and ensure that they're securely connected and it cant be rectified

Sir I have similar issue in my vu 43 inch 4k android tv. I have checked it the problem is coming from the right side of the display. I have 3 questions. Is it a tcon board problem or is it a display/panel problem? How many pins I have to block? Will it anyhow effect my 4k hdr picture quality?

Hi sir, am glad to respond for your queries , Ans Q1: If there is a problem in TCON board you wont get any picture or image , , as you mentioned the problem is with the right side of the panel , i feel that signal going to the right side of the panel from the TCON has to be checked, as explained in my vide , try masking the right side strip cable and check. Ans Q2: You can mask 3 pins from left , leaving the first 2 pins , do not mask the 2 pins on the left or on the right . leave off the 2 pins from left and mask the next 3 pins and check , similarly ckeck on the right side pins by leaving the right most 2 pins , Ans Q3 : Yes slightly there will be slight HD variations on the screen as horizontal lines will slightly visible on the right side of the display panel but it wont be a problem while viewing and viewing comfort will not be affected.. HD quality wont be affected much .

@@mysticroads can I contact you through insta. I will share some image of the board and a short video about the problem of double image. There are two (60pin) connector from the tcon board to the display. As I have told you that the problem is coming from the right side. I have seen your video you are blocking some particular section / signal going through the display to the tcon board. In my case it's little bit different. I will try your method but it will be more helpfull if you can advise me after watching the picture of my tcon board. Anyway Thanks for the reply.

i used cello tape and its working fine more than a year when there is no image or more distortion , i recommend to replace the tcon board

When I add the tape it fixes the double image but it adds a red line in the screen. The red line wasn’t there before only when I add the tape. Any suggestions??

try to reduce the width of the tape , and shift the position of the tape , moving towards left and right

Its a trail and error method , try using 3 mm tape at diff positions , to be precise start from let side

Try wit 3mm width tape at diff positions bro... You can definitely mask off the bad signals

Hi Lina , In your case I feel that the T CON CONTROL BOARD will be faulty , from TCON board there will be 3 connectors one input and 2 output for the right half and left half of the screen , try disconnecting one side either left or right...and check which side you get image and which side is becoming blackout

They may charge minimum of 75$ ~ 125$ , depending upon the defect, if they intend to replace the Tcon Board then the board cost will add up another 50/70$ i presume.

hi bro the unlatched right portion will be black only as the video signal is removed , u check the other side if any jumping or doubling issue , then latch the right side and unlatch the left side and check again , by this way u can check which side the err or is.
