Great video! The printer was not used for about 2 yrs and black ink dried out. The tips did not work initially so I tried tip 2 again with warmer water and longer dip time, and boom! Ink gushed out a bit while dipped and that's the time I know it worked. Thank you! This saved me big time.

You are the man dude!! Black and white wouldn't work and I knew it wasn't that old. And I print stuff very infrequently. Started looking for new printers online, or at least a new cartridge. Your system worked. I used a small bowl with warm water and ran it over a paper towel. Bada boom bada bing. Thank you.

I was skeptical that this would work but it did. It saved me from having to go spend 35$ for new cartridges just to print two pages. Thank you for the video. From now on I'll try storing the cartridge in a sealed bag to hopefully prevent the ink from drying out.

Thanks for the excellent video. Printer companies warn you against refilling and many other videos ask you to exercise too much caution. I mean I never thought I'll be able to dip my cartridge in water (forget warm water), but this video made me do just that and voila my cartridges are printing like new ones. Way to go .. I must admit I was sceptical until I tried this tip and it does work. My ink was dried out and I couldn't print anything it was doing my head in and I tried this method and boy is this something that I will do again. It 100% works, anybody who has tried this and said that it doesn't work then you're doing it wrong. The first time it worked a charm you only need a tablespoon of water to rehydrate the ink cartridge.

You saved my print! I tried deep cleaning multiple times, even dabbing a wet q-tip on the ink to no avail. I used a warm dish of water and soaked the unit for 15 seconds, watching the ink enter the dish. Pressed the sponge with a paper towel and, voila. I don't have to open a new set of ink! Happy Thanksgiving!

I have HP Envy 6400 and both cartridges dried out. With your help, they are working again. I ended up putting them both in water for about 5 minutes followed by 2 cleaning cycles and 2 alignment cycles. Thank you!

Cheers I have a the cheap Canon M5505 and was ready to dash it in the bin after it wouldn't prink a drop of anything black or colour, but dunked my inks in distilled water and can print again.

Set the printer back up, out of storage, and the Hp printer would only produce blank pages! I was prepared to re purchase the XL cartridges with money I've been low on lately. and really can't afford to spend money on new ink.......I am soo thankful I clicked on ur video, that was very easy to follow and worked flawlessly.
