I just needed to run obs as admin, they have a testing feature when you use obs as admin (gpu prioritization) and setting my power mode to power saver. Im sure most of the people who are watching this are on laptops. If you aren't, try right clicking the black screen and click 'Resize output'

My game is showing but it’s broken. I can only see the character the nape and the icons. Nothing else. The landscape is Al black.

Now this is the real comment right here this helped me solve my problem because I am on a laptop. I did also notice how when I did put the game capture in that the little red outline of the box was extremely small. Thanks For Helping me still in 2022.

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've been having to always use display capture and that drives me crazy. After using your guide, I didn't even have to change game capture to specific window, I'm able to use any fullscreen application on game capture and it works like a charm. Thank you soooooo much.

I Was skeptical, but it works, even allows me to use shortcuts while in genshin like start/stop video and discord binds, spread the word of our saviour, he is great.

The compatibility tab is missing in my Genshin Impact options, idk why, but i just did the OBS part and that was enough for me, thank you man

or if you are on Windows 10/11, just run OBS as administrator and then open the game. the game should be displayed on the OBS game capture so you are ready to capture it fullscreen. it works for me

I haven't been able to figure out why a small portion of people can't get it to work even when following this guide. Most people have success but from time to time nothing works for people. :( Sorry I can't help you.

You can try it but last I saw it didn't work. You need to get Genshin from the source without Epic involved.

You can't use the Epic Game version sadly, you need to use the stand-alone one. I would have mentioned it but I made this video before they added it to the EPIC Store.

Not that I've seen. It just seems to be more stable for Genshin. Otherwise, you need to use SLOBS but it is way more CPU intensive.

Windows 8 works best. But if that doesn't work for you, you can try the other options as you'll have nothing to lose.

What shortcut are you using? Use a Desktop one and it will work. It's the same for Windows 10 and 11.

So frustrating just got a new Rig and wanted to experience this off PC at high resolution and black screen on my obs praying this fixes did every method changed my obs to administrator and disabled all of my Accelerations even within my browser still black screen 🙏🙏🙏

Just get the stand-alone version from the Genshin website. It's the exact same and will allow you to make the change.

No options. You need to switch. The epic games version isn't compatible with any of these options sadly.
