What liquid did you use to clean the pins? Is it just wet tissue?

Cleaned it and it's not recognising it, it worked earlier and has just decided it no longer recognises my keyboard

You have to clean both sides carefully. You can use any tool make sure don't make force this may damage the pin.

Water makes such issues because of shorting due to moisture.
