My right pod won't charge. When I connect it to the case the red light comes on only for about 1 second and then switches back off I've watched several videos and I'm on the verge of giving up. Can someone in the comments please help

Mine when I open it it doesn't glow but when I put the airpod inside it charges without closing and it disconnects
