If your light is blinking then staying on, what worked for me is I filled my spare tire (since Toyota puts TPMS in their spares), I put extra pressure in each tire, drained each tire to really low, then put them all back to normal. THEN I was able to do this

When I looked up that symbol in the manual, there is a similar one with an exclamation point as well for the braking system but it didn't mention yellow or red. I thought I had a bad brake fluid sensor at first. The symbol for low tire pressure is almost the same except it's yellow.

When I turn my car on but leave ignition off my tire pressure light stays blinking for like a full minute instead of being solid like yours and then it will go solid after that but the tire pressure button doesn’t make it start blinking. I know my tires are at the 32 psi mark but I can’t figure out what the issue is

Did you found the reason?

That means you likely need new batteries for the tpms sensors

Just got new winter tires installed for my 2011 Corolla on a smaller set of rims with new TPMS sensors put on the winter rims too. Left the shop with no lights after the sensors were cloned and programmed but the TPMS light came on the second time I took the car out and turned the ignition. Going to try your tips out. I did the first few steps but I think I was being too impatient and turning the car off or ignition on too quickly without giving it time to learn. I just assumed it wasn't working when the light stayed solid / on after the three blinks. Will report back.

Same thing for mine, that means the thing connecting to the sensor is messed up I think (assuming you also got the actual sensors replaced/tested like I have). I’ve gotten it to reset for a while but it always turns out. We’ll all likely have to go to a dealership to fix it. But I can’t be bothered.

Too bad that doesn't work for all Toyotas. I have a 2007 RAV4 that does NOT have that reset button. I am stuck with finding a mechanic with the TPMS hand computer to do the reset.

Thanks for the video and the explanation - very helpful as I had the same issue...all new tires, checked the pressure but wouldn’t go away! FYI: If you have a 2011 (not sure about 2010 or 2012), the tpms reset button is under the panel below the steering wheel...get a flashlight, and you’ll see it around the center below the panel. This dude show exactly where it is for this model (wish it was up by the steering wheel like this older model - all Corollas are different). kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jcp0qsqoxqm0dps.html

I bought a used 2007 toyota corolla le and im not so sure if this car has a tire pressure system. I did look on my owners manual and a tire pressure system is in the manual. But in my car it doesnt have the button instead it has empty slot and a clip that covering the empty slot in between the mirror controller and the security light. How do i check if my car has a tire pressure system?
@motcycrev99026 жыл бұрын
Ahrdee it the icon shown in the thumbnail shows up orange on your dash, it means you have low pressure in a tire. If you found it in your manual of your car then its safe to say your car probably has it. Make sure in the manual if talks about your same model as well.
@11thgenerationcorolla576 жыл бұрын
Cool!! I do have the icon but i never seen it lights on when my tires are low in pressure, because i dont have the sensors in my new tires, it has the ordinary valve on. Is there a way to reprogram the sensors and install the switch on my empty slot without going to the dealership for sure it will cost a lot if i go there.
@motcycrev99025 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the long delay! From previous experiences I can tell you that dealerships are the most expensive for the most part. You can call them up and ask them to quote you a price though (free)!
@faustolopezsanchez37805 жыл бұрын
There is none. You have to install it yourself or pay $600 to a dealership to install it.
