I followed your video then figured out, by using my ohm meter I was seeing the same issues. Went to my local appliance shop bought the same kit and for less than a $20.00 bill had fixed it!!! Thank you my friend for taking the time to put up that video, it was well executed and to the point. Scott

I have a question how do you take that piece that you cut the wires from im having a hard time getting it out what happens if the piece with the wires breaks and im talking about the piece you cut off the wires.

Just finished watching this video and I am having a similar issue with a similar Maytag refrigerator model MBR2256KES. The freezer works but the fridge does not cool anymore. Just wanted to make sure I am understanding correctly so I can just buy the capacitor and the start device and it should be plug in play correct ? So there will be no need for me to get the 3 in 1 combo start?

Great video...better than others I've watched...thanks Man! Saved myself a hundo at least. Turns out my relay coil simply fell off while loading or unloading it (bought it used) because there was no clip holding it on. Simple fix as long as this puppy cools down now!

This might be a ridiculous question, but I’m new to the refrigerator repair game, that white pillow on the back of the vent panel that you take off the fridge. What is that and how do I replace mine because my refrigerator is very old and that little white pillow has basically disintegrated.

When i test windings on my compressor i get readings of 3, 7 and 10.. does that mean my compressor is bad? My compressor has 3 prongs 2 on top 1 on the bottom.. other than that the compressor looks almost identical.. same brand and all. Thanks in advance.

Info that might help others: I was concerned at first, as a very similar compressor (EMX 70HSC) had readings of 4, 6 and 10 ohms. Those are the correct values for this compressor model.

I'm confused as to why not just replace the start relay & compactor? 2nd I just got those 2 new parts & replaced both, it don't hear the compressor kick on. Can you advise me, what to do now? before I hang myself... lol, kidding

When connecting the wires from the existing relay harness (the 2 white and 1 blue wire) does it matter which line we connect it to?

If you talking about the temperature control thermostat know it doesn’t matter which wire goes where

what do you suspect it could be if the copper pipe on the compressor is frozen?

It could be that is not the frosting so as for me ice and the evaporator which is the freezer if you see ice in the back panel in the freezer that means is not defrosting now that can be defrost thermostat evaporator fan not working but in this model it happens to me and it was The main control board If it doesn’t have abort it can also be the thermostat that I’m replacing on this one

@@JelliMonster you know i don’t do much to it i believe that because it is older if it’s overstuffed the air flow is reduced so i just try filling it less especially towarsds the back and it’s seems to be working just fine

then it's a capacitor, because in this issue, there is no cooling at all. if you have cooling in freezer already then it's working already, you have a different issue

I have the same issue. Freezer is working. Refrigerator is warm
