This fixed my issue!! The ON/OFF for Mobile Hotspot was permanently dimmed. This quick reset brought it back. Excellent.

I went a year with a refurbished Samsung S10 that I got on ebay really cheap with no mobile hotspot capabilities. Since the rest of the phone was stellar, I figured this was the reason I got it so cheap. Followed your suggestions, and BOOM! Works perfect! Thanks GUY! Gold Medal for you!

it was working before and but I did a factory reset (cause I have so much junk on my phone) and it does not work anymore. I am on a Huawei Union and my carrier is boost Mobile. I use it for my Xbox one cuz I don't have a router (not yet anyways) for it and I use my hot spot. When it connects it takes me to boost Mobile website

All you have to do is just restart your phone guys.. Worked for me. 🙂

Ps4 (regular) only allow 2.4ghz wireless so this could very well be your issue. Or in other cases you only get 8gb (10gb) of hotspot even if you have the unlimited data plan right? You probably blew through the 8gb (10gb) already. Check me out 👌🏾

Not working. *EDIT* : My hotspot is working now. Problem was I had a malicious app running in my phone with name "file manager" which had administrator privileges.

Attention: For those with Obama phones/free government phone program users in California. I was having this same issue, my phone connected to my laptop but it said I said I had no internet connection. I dialed 611, navigated through the automated service options until I was put through with a customer service rep. I asked her why I was not able to connect to my computer using my hotspot, and she said that it was not part of my plan, but she said that she could add it to my plan free of charge. How cool is that?! So yeah I just connected to my laptop earlier today. Also, I have Assurance Wireless 5GB free data plan. Before this I had Safelink, with 2GB and access to no hotspot services (I think, I cant recall lol). Talk to your provider, not all will be the same and I hope this was helpful to you.

Works on Huawei mate 10 lite My phone couldn't share mobiledata to computers (but to phones it worked) and this rebooting made it work (computer also needed password that has numbers on it, but it too doesn't work before reseting)

This Works for me you turn off your Phone and leave for some minutes then turn it back on but it may not always work at the first try
