This video will explain how to fix your new Hart rinsed kit that turns in, but doesn’t pump. It seems that the pump needs to be primed before first use. Quick fix!

Thank you very much for posting this! I received mine yesterday and had the same issue. Just got done fixing mine, after following your video. Makes sense that the pump needs to be primed. 😅

Had the same issue. mine had a lighter sounding pump noise than normal. There is a spring and some little plastic thing might shoot off. (AFAIK - that's all). I took the spring out and set aside. but it didnt' shoot water at first. I did remove the hose from the tank and blew pretty hard into into it while the pump was going.. suddenly that last little white piece shot out with water left in the tube I messed with it a little more seemed ok. Found the piece! yay! Put it back together, and nope. Took apart but this time, primed it with water, like you were saying yours did. It also had that much louder pump noise that it's working. Then after putting it together, and that worked! Kinda seems like nothing was lubricated and just got all stuck in place. Thanks for the post! nice timing, Hart support told me to just return it to WalMart. :( Your solution was a lot easier!

Pulled mine apart, I can't tell but the spring may have not been on; regardless, I poured some water in it, screwed the cap back on and it started working. If I had to do it again, I might fill the tank with some water and put a shopvac on the output and try and draw water through to get it primed.

Thank you! Bought 3 in a row with the same issue so, obviously, they are doing something wrong at the factory. Thought for sure it was user error because how could they send 3 bad units in a row!?!

I received mine today. Had to do the same thing. I also discovered that the pump is a 20 V pump. When running on the 12 V accessory power there’s very little pressure. It’s not great but it does run better on the 20 V battery. You would think they would include a step up voltage converter to take 12 V up to 20 but they did not.

Thanks for that info. I haven’t tried using the 12v cord. Sounds like I won’t even bother now!

Or the opposite, a 12v pump with a buck converter to drop the voltage to 12v.

@@Bimmerrx7 I just pulled mine apart yesterday to fix it. It seems like there is a ton of room in there. What do you think about adding a 12v to 20v step up on the 12v side? Should be simple enough and there should be plenty of room for it.

So, did your Buzzzzzzz endessly?? I bought 2 dam units, both just buzzzz.. I guess it doesn't hurt to try this.

Hey Bruce Lee, the pump would just run, despite water in the tank. No water would come out. This fixed it!

@@dungut Ok seams to be the same, the unit ran non-stop, 20 minutes no water came out what so ever. I'll try this method today.

I had the same problem and this video helped me find a much simpler fix. I felt silly doing it, but I sucked really hard on the quick release nipple on the control panel and I could feel the water getting pulled in. Worked fine after that. Make sure it's turned off while you're priming it.

@@davidgladfelter3827just did the same thing using the hose on mine. Kinda like priming the fuel lines on an old car without the risk of a mouth full of gas! Works like a charm now and no disassembly required.
