1. Search Run
2. Click Run
3. Type appdata
4. Click OK Button
5. Open Local Folder
6. Scroll Down Until You Find Programs Folder
7. Open Programs Folder
8. Open Python Folder
9. Open Python Folder
10. Click Address Bar
11. Copy Address
12. Right-Click on This PC or Computer
13. Click Properties
14. Click Advanced system settings
5. Click Environment Variables
6. Scroll Down Until You Find Path
7. Click Path
8. Click Edit
9. Click New
10. Paste The Address
11. Go Back To Python Folder
12. Scripts Folder
13. Click Address Bar
14. Copy Address
5. Click New Button
6. Paste The Address & Hit Enter on Your Keyboard
7. Click OK Button
8. Click OK Button
9. Click OK Button
10. Click Close
11. Search CMD
12. Open Command Prompt
13. Now Check if Python is Working or Not

3. Set View by As Category
4. Click Uninstall a program
5. Click Python
6. Click Uninstall
7. Wait For Python To Install
8. Click Close Button
9. Click Close
10. Open Browser
11. Search Python Download in Google
12. Click First Link:- www.python.org...
13. Click Download Python
14. Click To Install Python
15. Tick Add Python To PATH
16. Click Install Now
17. Wait For Install To Finish
18. Click Close Button
19. Search CMD
20. Open Command Prompt
21. Check if Python is Working

I'm taking a Python Programming course, and I continued to experience this same error within Visual Studio Code with no solutions to resolve this until after watching this helpful video. I may now proceed with my studies without any interruptions. Thank you so much for this step by step simple tutorial on how to fix this error. I very much appreciate it! Hopefully others may find this tutorial helpful also as well. :)

Hi, great video! I would like to add one more method (since none of these has worked for me). I just uninstall python from control panel, and then install it from the Microsoft Store, and this has solved the problem for me (I'm using Windows 10). So, if you follow all the steps in the video and even tho couldn't fix it, just try installing from MS :)

"Python was not found; run without arguments to install from the Microsoft Store, or disable this shortcut from Settings > Manage App Execution Aliases." This was driving me up the wall because I had the correct Path locations but it still gave the error when typing "python --version" in cmd Moving this line down to the bottom of the list in PATH Environment Variables fixed it %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps

Try this method if nothing works. It did for me.I found that the root of the problem in Windows 11 was that I just needed to go to "start" and type "Manage App Execution Aliases", and turn off "Python" so it wouldn't associate that command with launching the App Installer. Maybe give that a try

I only watched and tried Method 1, as it solved the issue for me. Many thanks, great video. Win11 is a bit different but you can easily find the menus showed in the video. Still working. I recommend :)

Watching in 2024'April - Without knowing I applied 2nd method then the problem arrived 😂 I applied the 1st method and it's working. But 'python --version' this command is working not 'python3 --version' this.

it works for scripts but python is still not recognised edit: i found the issue. I had to delete the C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps path as cmd was looking for the microsoft store version instead of the one i had installed
