1. A damaged HDMI Port can cause horizon black lines on a Samsung tv screen.

I dont know if it works all cases but I fix problems on 2 samsung TVs with problems on screen. Horizontal lines and flickering..... I use the hair drier and hot air at the back coverage of tvs for few minutes at the top openings and the problems disappear both cases. Then I search about it and find out that the connections on transistors sircuit sometimes loose their connection. There is on back top the transistors for the screen. So the hot air helps to restore these connections and the tv works. I dont know for how long.... try not to burn cables and stuff with lot long time hot air...thanks.

Once the TV is unplugged what does holding the power button for 20 seconds do when the TV has no power to receive remote input??? Please explain.

It completely drains the tv of any lingering power. Essentially acting as a hard reset of the Tv.

The video is shite, but regardless, you do not use the power button on the remote, you use the power button, the hardware button, on the tv itself. It drains the capacitors.

Crap video. The reason for the permanent stationary lines on brand new tvs is an internal component error. There is no way to fix this issue other to send tv back to dealer, store or samsung

What a load of crap about hdmi. of cos the owner will replace one hdmi cable with another to trouble shoot . and this is a tv with lines and no hdmi involved.
