Here I showed up how to fix screen resolution problem windows 10, 11 (4 Method) and also this video covers how to adjust the screen resolution in windows 10, windows 11 and how to get 1920x1080 screen resolution on windows computers
Note: if you’re monitor that automatically sets your resolution at recommended resolution, which is less than 1920x1080 resolution, then you may not be able to upgrade the resolution to 1920x1080 because your monitor does not actually support 1920x1080 resolution.
Even if you tried to forcefully change the screen resolution, then your display may become unreadable and unstable due to the downscaling needed to show items at that resolution on a screen that doesn’t support it. So, this video only for those, whose monitor actually support 1920x1080 or higher resolution.

Thanks for that. I was on method 2 and the usual setting 1920x1080 wasn't showing in the list. I restarted my monitor and then it did show this in the list. This was after a Windows update today.

replace the vga cable sometimes this cable gets damaged over time you don't notice it replace this cable and you will get the best resolution supported by your monitor

The issue is my monitor doesn't support 1920x1080 instead it supports 1440x900. So the issue is for some unknown reason for a few days I can't set my monitor resolution to 1440x900 cause it doesn't even exist in the setting. And my recommended resolution is showing 1920x1080 whice is not my monitor resolution.

My case is little complicated, I have a laptop core i5 4210u that has an integrated gfx card, and the monitor supports upto QHD 2560x1600 while the most i can get out of the gfx card is 1080p (1920x1200), is there any tool that i can use to force the gfx card to go upto QHD 2560x1600 that I am trying to achieve on my external 30 inch monitor DELL U3011
