OMG TYSM guys all you need to do is reset it I was legit freaking out that my iPad volume wasn’t working but the best for me is restarting it because that’s what helped me

Oh my gosh....you are a lifesaver! My volume button to raise volume, got stuck so I could turn volume down but not up. I have been searching for days trying to come up with a fix. I restarted, tried things in settings, watched videos....and the best I could come up with was to ask Siri to adjust the sound each time. I watched this video for about a minute and found the answer, which was to swipe (down on my iPad) and adjust volume there! I thought that little box was just for music so I never used it. Now my problem is workable! Thank you SO much!!

thank you I got water in my headphone jack and did the hairdryer trick etc but after doing that still on headphone mode so came on here found you went through all steps except the assisted touch followed that and brilliant now got sound back ! fantastic as I rely on this for work every day thank you !

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! My iPad Pro was stuck on headphone mode, even though I’ve never plugged any headphones in! I fixed it via your assistive touch/shortcut menu. The only advice Apple had online was to take it to an Apple Store where they have the same answer for every problem....YOU NEED A NEW ONE, I’LL BE HAPPY TO HELP YOU CHOOSE!!!!!

Omg i was wondering why all my KZfaq videos worked but my piano apps weren’t... turned out my iPad was on mute.I didn’t know that was even possible 🤣

The last one worked for me in a way. I wasn’t going to delete everything I have on my IPad especially because it’s new, so I just reseted the settings only and it worked!

Amazing - all I did was click on the video and my sound came back!

This was really helpful one of my speakers wasn’t working so I watched this video nothing worked so when he said to erase all content and settings it worked my speaker started working again, it’s a miracle.

Thx!I just pressed the home button and on/off button until it went black then i pressed the on/off button then when it is back to your home screen turn on your sound and it will work (It will only restart the apps or the bugs that happened)

How I fixed mine: "hold down the off and home button for ten seconds, wait for screen to turn black. Once black, hold both again, it will show a white screen with the apple logo, wait for it it either say type password (if have) then just continue on with your sound! 😀👍🏻 Edit: Instead of wait for it to say type password (if have) just press home screen. Whopps! 😅

Some freaky ass shit just happened. I clicked on this video to fix my iPads sound because like everyone here... the sound wasn't working. I've been trying to figure out what's wrong for weeks now. But right when I clicked on this video... this guys voice was blaring😳🙌

Wow! This was the answer to my problem. I have an older iPad that doesn't have that toggle switch on the side. I tried the second method (took a long time for me to swipe to reveal the controls) and discovered that my volume control was completely dark. When I put my finger on it I was able to bring it up to full sound strength and my test Vimeo had sound!! I had tried powing off, updating my settings increasing the sound with the buttons on the side, and asking Siri to turn up the volume. None of those worked!! I would never have had any idea that there was a sound control where it turned out the problem was! Still have no idea how it got turned off, but THANK YOU for the solution!!
