How To Fix Those Leaky Axial Shocks!

I just wanted to share this quick video of how I've been able to keep the shocks from leaking on my SCX10III. They have held up for over 12 hours of actual run time at this point and I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to share! Give it a try and let me know if it helps, or if it doesn't help, or maybe if you know a better way!
I used a different camera to film the actual close up stuff and I'm still learning how to use it. I think I cut most of the bad focus parts out but if there are some I'm sorry. I SHOULD get a hang of it by the time I film another one!

My shock has failed, is there a way to refill them?

Yeah, definitely! Just take the shock cap off and fill it up. The shock cap is the part on top that the screw goes through. On most shocks you’ll take the spring off, then unscrew the shock cap and fill it up almost all the way with oil. After it’s full you can move the shock shaft up and down slowly to help get the air bubbles out. Finally, with the shock shaft pressed all the way in, you screw the shock cap back on. After the cap is back on you can check for any resistance when you move the shock shaft. If there is any, just compress the shock and loosen the cap until the shock compresses all the way, then check resistance again. Eventually you’ll bleed all the air and excess oil out and have a nice working shock! Sorry if this was confusing! I should really do a general shock rebuilding video. I do rebuild shocks in a video I made called TRX4M Maintenance Part 1. It’s a mini shock but the process is the same. Maybe check that out if you get confused! I hope this was helpful!
