I have 4 of his products and just ordered the deadbolt repair kit. My deadbolt got slammed in the door and now it won't lock. Paul has a fix for it 😀. You can use a drum brake dust cover to prevent the lock from locking when shutting the door. It is rubber and fits nicely in the lock slot on the door.

Doesn’t it seem odd that the door latch can’t be fixed by Airstream? Last time I checked, they don’t give these units away… But hey love the ingenuity of Americas….. Great video! Thanks for the detailed steps!!

Thats cool. I'm a tool and die maker. So i made an insert from a piece of aluminum. It fits perfect in the slide area. Won't allow it to be locked.
