Blow dry all vent sides for 1-3 mins let it cool off for 10 mins repeat 3-5 times then sit it in front of fan with power cord in.. worked for me

My xbox turns on for about 13-18 seconds then turns back off without making a chime. It recently wouldn't stay on for more than 2 seconds, we managed to get the game out then it would stay on for about 4 seconds. Yesterday it stayed on for maybe 1-2 hours, kind of unsure because I fell asleep while it was updating, then the update froze and I didn't check the time beforehand. It's not the fan I hear it turn on, I'm thinking I may have to replace the power supply but I don't know if that's the problem or not. Should I try?

HOLY SHIET, THIS SHIT ACTUALLY WORKED FOR MY ONE S. I did it to all of the vents for 1 minute, then let it cool for 10 minutes, and now it magically works! 😄 TYSM

Idk if all of ours turned off around April-June of last year but I haven’t played in months because of this I just never knew what was wrong

So I had the issue of my console (console is an Xbox One S and only about a year an a half old) turning on but my tv has the no signal. I tried the eject button power experience multiple times, put it up to the vent in my room to warm it up since I don't have a blow dryer, didn't work. Been doing this since late last night. I thought it might be a HDD issue, HDMI damaged (which shouldn't be because I don't unplug it often), but I did notice my fan seemed like it was weak. So a thought just occurred to me... Block the fan with one of my game cases. So I took my Borderlands Handsome Collection case for PS4 and sure enough it cut on. I don't recommend leaving the case on for too long for obvious reasons, but another idea for anyone else going through the struggle. Godspeed to you all out there.

Mine turns on for only 2 sec than turns off. Fan doesn’t even spin and doesn’t eject the disk. Also I’m curious if it’s the cable I’m using it’s a unpolarized 7A 125 v. Cuz I couldn’t find the original cable that came with my Xbox s I used my iRobot roomba cable

I found a fix if ur power supply is dodgy or turns off randomly. I jus blocked the fan. then xbox giv me the overheating warning then when I take out the thing stopping the fan it makes the fan go rlly fast then doesn't turn off no more :) try idk if it helps.

I did a thing i saw in a comment here , i spammed the hell out of the disc eject button until i felt the fan going strong then it stayed on , think of it as pushing a car to get it started in this case the car is the fan

It happened to me today thought I was absolutely fucked but I took the power cord that was plugged into the wall and plugged it into my power strip that I new had power in it and I pushed the power button on the console and it worked

There was wind and storm weather last night and the lights flickered for a split second and now it won’t work.

I think it something to do with the power going out because my power went out this morning and I broke my Xbox I’m sitting in front of my Xbox taken apart

Mine started to do this and it hate it because for me is my escape ya know. Like im on my world and nothing can bother me. I've tried everything I have been suggested and so far my xbox continues to hate me. At this point I want to just take it apart piece by piece. Its crazy that my xbox 360 is much much older and it works like new still*knock on wood*.

if you know you cannot put a console or pc on a rug or cotton material because it will burn upp the xbox pc or ps4 and it will over work it that’s why it may not be working

Hi there I have the same problem with my Xbox series s and I took it apart just to get to the cpu chip and I clean the cpu and the heat sink also and put new thirmal past on the heat sink and re asimbel the Xbox and it starts up and now it's working 100%

This didn't work, my xbox didn't turn on after the airdryier thing and when i click the eject button nothing happens and when i click on the start button it doesnt even make a sound. Dont tell me i need to bring it to repair cuz yesterday it worked fine.

I recently opened my xbox apart to clean it up since it was so dirty and it was overheating and once i finished and put it back together i turned it on and it immeaditly turned off everytime i turn it on it chimes the power up twice and it immeaditly turns off i think it may be the touch sensor ribbon or the buton but as of know i have no idea, so if anybody can help a fellow gamer out please, i'll apreciate it.
