Eastwood Brake Bleeder
Item #13414
The Eastwood Brake Bleeder lets one person successfully bleed brakes at the wheel, without depressing the pedal or wasting fluid. This versatile little pump develops vacuum in your caliper and brake line to pull out air, old fluid, and dirt. By simply switching a hose connection, the pump is able to produce pressure for completing testing that requires positive pressure. The kit comes complete in a blow molded case with: Hand Pump with Gauge, Reservoir Jar, Storage Jar, 3 valve adapters, necessary hoses and additional fittings.
Eastwood Aerosol Injected Cleaner & Lubricator
Item #12846
Eastwood's award-winning Aerosol-Injected System directs a focused blast of cleaner or lubricant to penetrate deep into hard-to-reach places
Our Aerosol-Injected Clean/Lube System was the 2011 Winner of Popular Mechanic's™ Magazine Editor's Choice Award for Product Innovation and Design! One of the key reasons was the engineered taper of each can's nozzle that creates a tight seal to force the cleaner or lubricant deep into the tool or tubing, without blowback.
Choose below from the Cleaner or the Lubricator...or both!
360-degree valves even spray upside down!
Ideal for cleaning or lubricating anything around the car, shop and home
Eastwood Brake Gray - Brake Fluid Resistant Paint
Item #11756 Z
Ultra-durable Brake Gray Paint resists brake fluid!
Eastwood Brake Gray is a durable, heavy-duty coating that actually resists DOT 3 brake fluid, so it's perfect for painting master cylinders, disc brake calipers, brake drums, spindles, mounting brackets and hardware.

Excellent corrosion resistance

Tubing Bender and Forming Pliers Kit
Item #13621
When you can bend tubing "kink-free", you avoid wasted time and money!
If you try to bend a brake, fuel, transmission or A/C line by hand, you kink the tube...try to align or form the line by hand, you kink the tube. Since you're tired of wasting that time and money, let Eastwood end your frustration with our Tubing Bender and Forming Pliers Set.
Pliers and Bender both bend 3/16" and 1/4" tubing
Bender also works on 5/16" and 3/8" tubing
Aligns, bends and adjusts
Comfort-grip vinyl handles

So far this video is the most informative one I've seen. The detail showing what not to do and what happens when you don't was good.

Brake fluid on its own is not corrosive. Brake fluid turns acidic after it absorbs water. Coatings will deteriorate if brake fluid is left on a surface long enough to absorb moisture and then turn acidic.

Thxs, Eastwood. Right now I'm replacing lines on a '98 LeSabre, a common platform. All lines have bubble flares (metric.) Most of the lines are 4.75mm, which is within .0005" of 3/16", so it's OK to use 3/16" line & bubble flare it. The lines that go from the HCU (ABS) to the master cylinder are 6mm which we haven't been able to find locally. 1/4" is .014" larger than 6mm. Maybe I can run 1/4' lines & bubble flare them w/my "bar clamp & yoke/pressure screw" bubble flare kit.

29:10 He actually did not correctly use the bending tool; you bend from the die-side not the backside. I can't believe he made this mistake.

Honestly, he wasn’t paying attention. The way he bent the line, he definitely kinked it pretty badly by crushing down with the die side of the bender.

Ok, you did a bubble flare on a 4.75mm O.D. tube. Now what about 6, 8 & 10mm tubing? Can this tool do that?

If you have the option to double flare with the same tool why wouldn't you use a double flare? It's way less likely to fail.

I have a 97 cadillac deville, inspection flagged all brake lines... Is it normal to have quotes for the work starting at $800+, what kind of work is entailed in this job. As when I looked at the actual cost of brake lines the lines are only a few dollars for a few feet... Also, what I am running into is that I can not find a mechanic that WANTS to do the job in my area. And to take my old car to the dealership= $1200 for just replacement of the lines ONLY.

At 23: 12 on the right side of the single flare it is split, Not too much impressed with the double flare either. Also a lot of disclaimers mentioned. For the price of this it should be more durable and fool proof, and why not include a good tube cutter with it? And also throw in the dies for a/n fittings Too. Can you get parts for this when it breaks?

Unfortunately they don't state it's only good for copper pipe .. try and flare a factory pipe from manufacturer.. it just pushes the pipe through .. does not grip the pipe.. These dyes need to be shaved down to grip the pipe .. ally alloy..

OR .... make up a paper shim to effectively increase the pipe size that the split die sees ... works very well ...

+hjjackson05 So you are saying this company is supposed to just engineer design and manufacture a product and then sell it for almost nothing because you don't have the money?
@hjjackson05
@hjjackson05 8 жыл бұрын
+joe8388 Not at all. The question was meant to be rhetorical and some what suggestive. If the question were to be answered I would expect it (or hope it) to be. “ We have a flaring tool that does the job for DIYers/ infrequent users. CLICK LINK to see it”. My first attempt at brake lines I tried a tool made in China that was useless. Eastwood does in fact have a $32.00 tool that I used right out of the box after viewing someone else’s video. I replaced all brake lines on 2 vehicles, some 30 flares, with no leaks and only 3 remakes. Good customer service indicates they should have a video that supports their lesser priced products as well. That video would also increase their sales as it would not be a competing product. Actually this comment is good advertising as it is an endorsement of Eastwood product quality
