i learned this technique when I first moved out on my own. I've found however, that It's even faster if I ball up the shirt and fling it as hard as I can into the drawer

I'm watching this 10yrs later and after failing to fold like this several times. In my eighth attempt i finally did it in 3 -5 seconds! I'll be folding like this and practice until i perfect it. It's going to help me in the long way. Thank goodness i didn't gave up early , i kept doing this on my brother shirt . To do it in 3-5 sec i took 5-7 minutes of failing constantly. Thanks dave your videos are helping people even after 10yrs!

I think this is the best vidéo ever on KZfaq (or maybe it's witch doctor). Not 5 minutes worth of random intro, straight to the point, 1mn long and you learn an easy skill that will save you a lot of time through your life !

Slight alteration/tip: you can get a wider end result if you make the vertical reference line halfway between the edge of the collar and the seam of the sleeve instead of halfway between the middle of the shirt and the seam/left side (otherwise the end result is a bit tall). This is actually done in the video, but the positions are very close to each other.

My trouble began when I had to wash the shirt again after drawing on the lines.

For anyone stopping by, don't make the mistake I made for like 20 minutes: Once you're ready to uncross your arms, make sure to take the fabric at Point C as well as the fabric you're already holding in your right hand from Point B. Missed it at first but as soon as I got that it worked like magic. Hope this ends up helping someone

I saw this and it didn't make sense to me in a counter intuitive way. While doing it it still seemed off until I had the best folded T-shirt in my history of folding shirts! This has monumentally changed my life. Before the folds were not typically good enough compared to the much too many seconds it would take me. So most of the time I don't even bother and deal with the slight wrinkles. With this folding method, I will now fold half of my next load of laundry!! Thank you do much DaveHax.
