Today I share how I fold my clothes to save space in my dresser drawers and closet shelves. This technique is great because it allows you to easily see every item in a drawer at a glance, and it minimizes wrinkles because you aren't stacking items on top of each other! I hope you find this helpful!

Almost to my 40’s and I finally learned a proper way to fold a damn shirt. From the bottom of my laundry pile, thank you! Now to get folding a fitted sheet down to look as nice...........

That's actually the same reason I clicked on this video, I was planning on organizing my drawers cause I was just throwing everything in mindlessly, but now I'm working on folding everything into place

Thank you so much 😊 my sister shared this with me and our other sisters, I watched the whole video and was inspired, I followed this method and folded all my clean laundry, found it super satisfying! My little girl was fascinated by how joyful I was sorting the clothes (I probably looked miserable every other time 😂) she took a strong interest and helped me, she made sure to straighten out each fold, it was wonderful. I then went on to empty all our drawers and then refold all the clothing, it was amazing how much space I had as before folding them this way, every drawer was overloaded!!

You know, it's awesome to watch your video and learn an old trick in a new way (like 15 years ago when I looked up a recipe for scrambled eggs and now everyone loves my eggs). I was inspired and re-folded all the clothes in my dresser last night and made some much needed room and have way better visibility of all my clothes. Originally tried it on a sweatshirt as my shirts are in the wash right now. Was easy to follow but a bit difficult to fold. Once I pressed down on it when my forearms, it folded nice and neat. Also used it on pants and shorts. The pants was easy to follow but for shorts I'd recommend folding them sideways, not from the waist belt. I find that method works best on the short shorts lol. Amazing technique overall! Will definitely use this!

I'm glad you found it useful! You can definitely fold shorts in the other direction. The reason I do mine from the waist is so that they are the same width as pants/leggings/other bottoms. I find they fit better in my dresser drawers that way because I can have two rows that fill the width of the drawer nicely (like the sweaters I showed). Definitely do what works for you, though! I can send you a photo on Instagram for proof if needed. The reason I watched this video is because I have vacation tomorrow and I JUST found out today. I had to throw in a whole bunch of clothes into my washer and do my laundry, then when I was done I was freaking out. I needed to fit 4 books in my suitcase - over 1500 pages total - along withe all of my clothes. Flannels were rough to do but I found that if you fold the collar back like you do with hoodies is alright. Another weird one is doing long-necked socks. I found that if you take the ankle part of it and fold it down that way it's a little shorter than the toe, then fold it normally that way. Overall, I was EXTREMELY satisfied. I put in 3 dresses, 1 sweatshirt, 2 flannels, 4 shorts, 6 pairs of undies and 2 bras (stating these for the amount of space), 1 bikini, 1 one piece, 3 tank tops, and I think 3 shirts. Overall, I fit a LOT of clothes in my suitcase. Thank you for making this video!

How do you remember what you have when it’s out of sight in a drawer? What keeps thin folded tanks/tees from wrinkling? Do you file or stack thick sweaters and sweatshirts? Love the way you fold towels!

Great vid. This folding method takes a bit longer than that "2 second" folding method I use but it's much less sloppy my drawers are looking neat now (:

Is there a way you avoid fold lines? All my t shirts have wrinkle lines where I fold them in "thirds."

Enjoyed your video. Do you or anyone have a method that shows if necklines are v, round, or tneck?

You could do a modified fold like the one shown at 1:23. For deeper necklines this should work as is to show you the bottom shape of the neckline. For higher necklines such as a crew neck, you would fold up from the bottom hem then fold down only once from the top to show the shape of the neckline. Hope that helps!

I don't know how you do that, but I am wasching, ironing and put into wardrobe. On the morning I have too much stuff to do, I don't want also ironing.
